Question on Rear Kitchen trailers

We have a 310RL and are very happy with it. Today, while at an Alliance dealer, we took a look at a 382RK they had on their lot. While we loved most of the layout, we agreed we'd miss our window configuration, plus the 41' 6" length is a deal breaker for us.
The best section was up front, with all it's space, but my question to those with a RK layout, how much of a beating does the kitchen/refrigerator take going down the road?

Good question! Our two cents for your consideration. May want to post this ?? in the Paradigm forum to get other existing 382RK owner input quicker.
We have just put an offer in on the 382RK and will get our trailer in mid-late Feb. We are full timers & have been lurking on this site & “ shopping” various 5th wheels ( our first) for@ year or so & joined the forum after we had narrowed our search down to 3 mfgrs. this forums members have prove quite knowledgeable, willing to help, and patient w questions.
In our experience, suggestions from forum members, & discussions with our dealer, their service department led us to be able to meet our Alliance Area representative in The Portland RV show this last Nov . Who put us in contact with the Paradigm techs. Were told that the Paradigm frame, suspension & 5th wheel pinion have been engineered to mitigate the added rear weight the RK loading creates. Was advised there is added framing to help reinforce these support spot loads.The Paradigm underwent a major design revamp based on owner feedback tto remedy very early issues.
We also queried how they have solved the waste tank support & were shown added Tank supports for the black & gray water tanks.
Suggest you contact their Customer Service,,,they are responsive & have proven to us they are truly determined to do what is right,,,listen to thei owners,,,and stand behind their products and their dealers. While we will be full time on our property but are quite pleased w Alliance’s comittment to doing what is right. Throw my 2 cents in for what its worth. Had an older Jayco RK in 32' and we both loved the lay out but when it came time to purchase a new 5th wheel we "did not" go with an RK. Never had much of an issue most of the time until you got on the "road from Hell" and them inventory rotation took on a new meaning! I know that the new campers are supposedly built better, stounger, more user friendly and all the above but its still behind the rear axles. Drove a parcel delivery van for 40 years and everything behind the axles has a tendancy to move. We still liked the layout though. Good luck, Mike

Understood, & agree,,,,ours is a 35 mile one way delivery over good roads,,,then it will remain on our property as our retirement home, it,,,Won’t see road unless we sell our property & move. Our “traveling & sno birding” is done in a smaller tow behind that fits into most campgrounds,,,so feel pretty comfortable for our needs & uses & love the floor plan,,,

My $0.02 worth. I will never have another RK RV. Don't care how much they reinforced the frame, the rear of the RV bounces and therefore everything in the kitchen BOUNCES!! Nothing was in its natural location. Food, dishes, and the fridge, a disaster!!
Just something for you to consider. A salesman will tell you what you want to hear, kind of like a lawyer!! Lips are moving, don't believe it!!
