Hello,
I just completed this install and now this camper has the ability to be off grid indefinitely, providing the right conditions (sun). I was very happy
with some of the Alliance specific features of this trailer pertaining to solar prep and their support during the install.
-Recess in the pass through bay is great for components (Inverter ,MPPTs etc.,)
-I used the existing the paneling in the pass through to mount everything and it looks sharp
-The solar prep PV wire thickness was able to support filling the roof with 2k watts of panels
-I was able to re use about 40 ft of 6ga wire for the 12 volt system
-There is access to the underbelly on the left and right side of pass through that for pulling wire
-Alliance provided me with the location of all rafters for secure panel mounting
-Already installed high efficiency appliances (12voltfridge, Furrion Chill cube and HE)
-Storage under bed is perfect size and location for battery bank
Overall I would say this midsized 50 Amp trailer is that is a perfect candidate to modified for partially or fully off grid.
