No brakes on right side- 2024 310rl

We have a few miles on the camper but pretty much flatland towing. My walk around checks always seemed like the brakes were surprisingly cool. Braking on this camper is waaaay better than our old one so I didn’t think too much about it. Last month in the Black Hills I pulled into a rest area at the bottom of a pretty good grade, did a brake check and found left brakes very warm, right side stone cold. Continue to check at every stop on the way home and had the same results.
Looking at the wiring the left-hand seems to feed the right through the axles so the odds of both wires feeding the right hand side failing seem pretty slim, but I’ll check that out. More likely mechanical I’m thinking.

I use my endoscope to go through the inspection hole behind the brake drums. Both right hand side drums show where from where the magnet has been dragging and one shows a slight seal leak, but not enough to affect performance I don’t believe. Oddly, it looks like it’s only been leaking while sitting in my driveway for the last month. All the grease is below the spindle not spread all over from rotation.

Jacked up the RH side, applied brake power by pulling the disconnect and the brakes do prevent the tires from turning, at least by hand. So, it is not an electrical issue. I am thinking the self-adjusters have gone on holiday. Per Alliance customer service, I have a claim into Dexter. Hopefully I will hear from them soon. The one wheel seal for sure needs to be replaced. Hopefully I can just run the adjuster wheel thingy a bit tighter and perhaps that will inspire the auto adjusters to start working again. We are headed for the Bighorn Mts in a couple weeks, and I would rather have fully functional brakes. It is odd that both brakes on one side would quit though. The axle s/n are consecutive though, so maybe same guy worked on them both or both used same bad batch of parts.

Dexter is sending me a new brake assembly and a new seal. I'll pull the drum on the leaky unit and see if the adjuster is the problem.

Received the new seal and backing plate from Dexter today which I have to say is pretty dang good response time.
Strangely, the new seal has absolutely no markings on it. Nothing. Nada. I’m tempted to go get a brand name seal instead so I know for sure what I am putting in.

Have you checked for fine print embossed in the rubber lip?
I just replaced a grease seal this weekend and the markings are on the rubber lip.
It was a genuine Dexter Seal.

You are correct, I used a magnifier and found the manufacturer and part number on the rubber lip. I am going to install the new parts today and see if that corrects the problem.
