My husband and I are looking at purchasing a new Alliance Avenue. I have a couple of models in mind the 38 DBL, 32RLS. What are your thoughts and opinions? Also, I saw where someone had posted a PID list if you could be so kind to share that would be great. Would love to look over it. We currently have a 2024 Heartland Eddie Bauer edition travel trailer. We are very unhappy with it. Purchased new in March of this year. The unit has been at the dealer getting warranty work done longer than home with us. We have only been able to us it 5 times. Each time we use it we take it back for more work to be done. Our longest stay has been 3 nights the other uses have just been over night.
Just trying to avoid this happing again. We know they will all have issues. But this has been a lil excessive.
We are also looking at the Grand Designs. So if you have a comparison to the two brans let me know as well. All advice is welcomed.

We owned a 2024 Grand Design and it was a much better build quality on the interior than is our 2025 Alliance 340RL. Maybe I got lucky with Grand Design or unlucky with the Alliance. Grand Design was okay with the customer service. Alliance is a little bit better but has a lot of work to do (IMO) on their customer service process (to be fair, most appreciate Alliance's customer service and I am particular). That said, they are both top tier; they all have some room to improve. Structurally, I would say they the things you don't see on the Alliance are more likely than the GD to stand the test of time and travel ( e.g. grade of steel, welds, reinforcements).

Here is the PDI list a lot of use and I think was created by @Oregon_Camper , it is at least shared by him.

It would be out of my wheelhouse to guide you on which model is right but I hope you enjoy the process of buying your next rig!

In my humble opinion and experience, you cannot go wrong buying with(joining The Alliance).
We have owned our 24 385FL almost 2 years and we have not had to take it back to the dealer. (That is our goal). We have had minor issues that Alliance's customer service helped is take care of. Super satisfied with the Brand.
We walked through the 38DBL at the last show, if you need the extra 1/2 bath and sleeping area, it would do the trick.

Good luck,

I agree with all the comments above, all makes and models are going to have problems. I am very happy with how Alliance has taken care of those problems.
The last 5th wheel from Forest River spent almost the first year at the dealer. Alliance two trips to dealer, 4 weeks max.

Man do I agree with the Forest River. Bought a WildCat in March and could not wait to get rid of it. The best thing about it was that it towed great. Cheap China tires, interior just cheap. I got mesmerised by the large living room but the more we used it the more I disliked it. Took at hit when trading but am so far very happy with the 32RLS. Haven't use it as yet but just getting it ready for a trip has been rewarding. Craftsmanship far exceeds the Forest River. Glad to be an Allie!!
