New Owners Post Delivery list

Could we start a list of all the things that we have done to our campers after delivery? Maybe that would help out some new owners. I’m not talking about modifications, I mean repairs and things necessary to make it livable and/or easier to live in.

Here are a few of the things I had to do:

GFI outlets in bathroom and end of island were loose. Only two screws at top holding them on so unplugging a cord nearly pulled them off the wall. I installed two more screws in the bottom. In the case of the bathroom outlet, I had to use one and a half inch screws both top and bottom in order to reach the studs on each side, about a half inch away from the outlet itself. I angled the screws to catch both studs.

RTV/silicone the large hole in the drip pan under the Nautilus. Drip pan is a great idea but they leave a giant hole in it.

Tighten fittings on back of Nautilus. I’m still chasing a leak there, unfortunately it is intermittent and hard to track down.

Adjust main door latch so door closed without slamming.

Label grey tanks at switches so I know which is the shower and which is island. Also added label reminding me to leave the electric gate valve switches in “park” after opening or closing.

Silicone bottom of shower surround. Still struggling with the why of this.

Add hinges to compartment cover under the head of the bed for extra long term storage.

Clean kitchen sink faucet strainer. Repeat every week so far. I’m hoping that the lines run out of trash soon.

Clean up area behind Nautilus, vacuum floor and tie wrap wiring.

Disassemble and clean out burner in stove to get full flame. Crud in line or orifice

Shut off valves to washer

Still to do:
Figure out how to get power to stove, Starlink and TV when not connected to 120v. Either power pack or install inverter.

Cheers

We have a 2024 Paradigm 310RL. But I was hoping the list would be generic to some extent.

The Nautilus is the control board for the water connections. It has valves for city/ dry camping, hot water heater bypass etc.

Also have another couple additions:

- install the thermocouple thingy for the battery charger ( another mystery you have to solve yourself, I put this one on the dealer though, not Alliance).

- install towel bars / hooks in bathroom

Great! We have the same RV but so far it has been parked, not used. Guess I didn't read the labels on the Control Board.

2024 32RLS WITH CUSTOM PAINT
things we had to fix after taking delivery:
1. loose connection at the instant hot water heater in the compartment underneath water was leaking everywhere when connected to City water
2. electrical wires crossed for accent lighting. one of my accent lights above the coffee bar would stay on all the time. pulled the panel, found the wires and cut and spliced into the correct wires. now all lights turn on for accent lighting and all lights turned off.
3. storage compartment lighting continually turning on and off. I haven't figured this one out yet. as soon as the compartment lights turn off. they turn back on even with the compartment closed and it's dark inside. it's a continuous on and off and I've heard problems with the sensors. I will look into it more
4. loose outlet screws at the end of the kitchen island and in the bathroom. also tightened things up and is fine now
5. recliner and dining room slide had a screw sticking out from the nylon guides when it is closing and it gouged up the bottom of the slide from the outside. you crawl underneath and look up and there is a big gouged line found. there was a screw sticking up from the nylon guide on the inside under the flooring, took a screwdriver and drove it in deeper and it is fine now
6. both recliners and sofa have come off the floor with the screws that are holding it in. spoke to Alliance about this and did not really get any answers on how to correct it. word of warning do not drive the screws straight into the ground as they will go through the bottom of the slide and when you close your slide you will gouge up your linoleum inside. DO NOT USE LONGER SCREWS. THERE'S GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY TO SECURE THE RECLINER AND THE SOFA TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE FLOOR !
7. we purchased the swivel dinette so we could turn the dinette table sideways to look out the window when putting it together you have to use smaller head screws as the screws will grind as you're twisting the table. need some sort of a flathead screw.
8. remove and replace the bed struts in the bedroom after replacing the mattress with a wilderness king size firm mattress, the struts were not strong enough to hold the bed up to access the compartment underneath. we added the 150 lb struts to each side and now it works like a champ.
those are the only things we've had to do but otherwise all is well. if I have anymore I will add more to this message
Cheers everyone

Couple more things-

- Water sitting in shower door slide channels is annoying and breeding ground for mold. Existing oval drain cuts do not go all the way to bottom of channel. So, using a 1/4” cylindrical metal cutting tool, cut a groove in the shower bottom door rail through the center of existing drain cuts so the grooves will drain completely. I will post pics. Might have to come up with something to paint over the cuts. Hopefully won’t be too ugly.

- really cold last few nights, the hot water line to kitchen island sink froze. I believe the low point drain also comes off this line. It hangs below underbelly so I insulated both hot and cold low drain point valves and line magically thawed. Going to have to come up with something more permanent.

Cheers

Rubber bumper thingy on the door handrail - when the rail is folded this bumper goes against the wall to prevent vibration I think. Noticed it was loose and figured it would not be around much longer so I gorilla glued it on.

Got a bottle of Goo gone and am removing the ugly MCD stickers from all the blinds. Plus other random unnecessary stickers around the camper.
