Tied the boxed AC to an extension ladder with lines tied to either side. Put one end on top of the trailer with a furniture pad underneath, had a friend help lift the (heavy) end placing it on top of a 8' step ladder. I then got on the roof and pulled the AC across the ladder using the lines on either side. The hardest part of the installation was getting the unit on the roof but once I figured out how it was easy.

What? You have a hole in the roof you can see form inside, but it is sealed on the outside? You confirmed with wiring is there too? Our 2023 340RL came with 3 AC unit as standard, we did not pay extra for the 3rd AC.
Oh let me think about this.
You got a third A/C unit on your RV from the factory and they just GAVE it to you? Jim sir, if you believe you didn't pay for it, I have some land for sale just west of Miami, cheap, waterfront property!! There is nothing that comes free in this world you just didn't see it broken down in purchase order.

And yes, there is a hole in the roof, it's called a sky light, vent whatever you want to call it. Funny thing, it is 14' square and guess what, it will accommodate a new A/C!

An old story that applies here.
"It took you 2 hours to install that unit. How can you charge me $1000.00 for 2 hours work."
The seasoned veteran mechanic Responds" It took me 30 years to learn how to install that unit in 2 hours"
Doing a job shade tree style with no: overhead, insurance, taxes, warranty, licensing or salary involved,
is a totally different equation than doing a job for profit.
Good quote but on the other side, if it took 30 years to learn how to install the unit in 2 hours, then I would guess something is wrong.
Yes, I understand all the other implications but still not even close to a reasonable amount tho charge. If that were the case, there would be a lot of RV repair folks out there doing repair work!
