Tied the boxed AC to an extension ladder with lines tied to either side. Put one end on top of the trailer with a furniture pad underneath, had a friend help lift the (heavy) end placing it on top of a 8' step ladder. I then got on the roof and pulled the AC across the ladder using the lines on either side. The hardest part of the installation was getting the unit on the roof but once I figured out how it was easy.

What? You have a hole in the roof you can see form inside, but it is sealed on the outside? You confirmed with wiring is there too? Our 2023 340RL came with 3 AC unit as standard, we did not pay extra for the 3rd AC.
Oh let me think about this.
You got a third A/C unit on your RV from the factory and they just GAVE it to you? Jim sir, if you believe you didn't pay for it, I have some land for sale just west of Miami, cheap, waterfront property!! There is nothing that comes free in this world you just didn't see it broken down in purchase order.

And yes, there is a hole in the roof, it's called a sky light, vent whatever you want to call it. Funny thing, it is 14' square and guess what, it will accommodate a new A/C!

An old story that applies here.
"It took you 2 hours to install that unit. How can you charge me $1000.00 for 2 hours work."
The seasoned veteran mechanic Responds" It took me 30 years to learn how to install that unit in 2 hours"
Doing a job shade tree style with no: overhead, insurance, taxes, warranty, licensing or salary involved,
is a totally different equation than doing a job for profit.
Good quote but on the other side, if it took 30 years to learn how to install the unit in 2 hours, then I would guess something is wrong.
Yes, I understand all the other implications but still not even close to a reasonable amount tho charge. If that were the case, there would be a lot of RV repair folks out there doing repair work!

I don't think you totally understand what's involved. A novice will not be able to install the unit in 2 hours.
Getting the unit on the roof is generally speaking a 2 man job unless you have a fork lift. which isn't free.
The person ordering the $600.00 unit is being paid. You cannot buy a unit for 600.00 and sell it for 600.00 and remain in business.
You sort of solved your own dilemma. Even at $2,300.00 to install an A/C unit there are not tons of folks doing RV repair work because it's simply not that lucrative or easy to do. It's a tough business to survive in and not the easy street you imply.
A mobile service business can easily spend $6,000.00-10,000.00 a month in taxes, rent, insurance and utilities before a single customer calls for service.

No, I thought it was clear in my comment that we have 3 AC units and there is no option for just 2. As you stated you thought they came from factory with just 2. (See image)

I would remove the skylight trim and look for AC wiring. The fan only uses DC power, so you might not have the wiring you need. You might get some help from the RV tech's that live on that land just West of Miami.
