I simply want to generally discuss alliance 252 RL with pmareah et al.
After 1 year and 6000 miles i can share our experience.
We purchased in Aug 2025 at blue compass for 46K. After
After adding the “sucker” extras we ended up spending 55- 56K.
I immediately upgraded the suspensions with a cre 3000 equalizer. Better brass inserts and wet bolts. Better ride, 3 inches extra cushion to soften the vibrations and dissipate the energy to the interior.
Thermofoiled cabinets, not painted. Look great in the beginning, better have a heat gun to fix the bubbles and the peeling that will for sure occur periodically.
If the scratches are deep, there is no way to paint on it and make it look right.
You may as well strip it and proceed with a full repaint. Please let me know if you have a better solution.
Screws all over are not placed properly. The pressed wood used ( mdf?) can only be screwed once or twice in the same hole, after that you are up a creek.
Every single sliding door and tray had to be rescrewed in within 6 months.
The magnets that hold the long drawer inserts in the pantry, will come loose and simply have to be replaced. Bigger screw and a sleeve to keep them in place.
The same for the screws that support and secure the rails. Metal support and extra wood had to be added. Press glued and screwed in.
The bigger drawer under the oven came open during a trip and destroyed the frame along with the Thermofoiled covering. 3 hrs job to re secure everything. Press glued, reinforced, longer screws. And finally straighten it. ( it was originally slanted).
Magnets on trash cans are ferociously strong, this requires a strong pull to open. Too much force. The stress will cause damage long term. Turned the metal magnet receive 180 degrees to offer less
Magnetic force while rv is stationary.
Screws that support the frame for the bin are too short. I kept tighten it. At the end had to rebuild the whole thing and extend the side rubber stops. Sometimes the whole metal support would come out. Poor design. Good residentially, not good for an rv.
Shower way too spongy. Support frame not precisely cut. Possible cracks on the pvc basins are possible. Lots of cracking and crackling.
Support has to be redone. ( next project).
Bedroom has an awful factory mattress that even goodwill does not accept. Replaced with a better one. 10 inches. Heavier struts are good for the 21 Oz mattress, not good enough for a serious mattress. Hard to replace the struts as they have to be calibrated with the exact force needed. The wood that supports it, is cheap and hard to work with.
Exterior:
Doors can be problematic. Bedroom door totally came out of alignment during last trip. I was able to “bend” it into place. Could not use it for 40 days. At repair shop as we speak.
Slide goes back in but it is now crooked and lifted at the floor. At the dealership now as I do not want to tackle what I don’t know.
Get lithium batteries. What a difference!!
Great gas stove, counter tops, AC’s are the bomb, wheels and tires are awesome. Windows are fantastic. Tankless water heater is fabulous.
Fridge is great, even if the latch is poorly designed and will break.
Sofa is very comfortable even if crooked. Dinette table was mounted backwards. I fixed it.
Sorry for the out of sequence recount of our year. I love my alliance. The price point is high for the quality you get. But the choices that alliance makes as a company are not too bad. Their customer service is very good.
Just wished the material and quality control would be better.
Down the roads things happen. Nothing is perfect.
Would I buy it again? I would rather get a Brinkley, and when you go read their forums, there are idiots like me that complain about everything, but then simply can’t wait to go out there for their next adventure.
