Hi Lantley, we certainly didn’t have the same experience as you have. Our’s would blow partially closed in a lite breeze, drove me crazy!( but that doesn’t take much). Have a great Labor Day Weekend!Interesting my friction hinge is very tight almost too tight!
My door doesn’t open far enough for the magnet to hold…….Midnight Rider, I was disappointed with our friction hinges ability to hold the door open in a breeze.
I installed one of these magnetic door holder directly below the door handle (ie, mid height on the door) so far it has worked well and I am happy with it. Installation is simple peel and stick. I pealed one side and place it on the door, pealed the other side, mated it to the first half via its magnetic and opened the door back against the side wall , which allowed for perfect alignment. Works great so far!
