Why is the Reese Goosebox not an option?
First, congratulations on the new fifth wheel! I'm not sure you're going to get much feedback about real life experiences with that hitch. Not that I have been an owner that long, but I don't recall it being mentioned here on the forum and I think it is relatively new. @Oregon_Camper might have more insight on that point. There are some super smart contributors here who might be able to talk about one design over another though. There are a lot of us, including me, who have switched to a gooseneck who can talk to you about pros and cons we have observed between the two platforms.

While I can’t comment on the GooseTech due to lack of experience with it, I will share that I absolutely love our Gen-Y, the coach tows like a dream!

Another thought!
I believe Changing Lanes did a review of the hitch on their you tube channel. I have always felt Chad gives an honest review of products that he /they evaluate.

Since you're considering swapping out the factory pin box (Curt RotaFlex?) on a new 35RKS that will have the manufacturer's overall warranty (from Alliance) and probably a Lippert frame warranty against frame manufacturing defects in effect, you might find this document useful. Just to CYA in the rare event of structural frame defects rearing their ugly head in the future, if it were me I would drop Lippert a line and see if they explicitly support using either of the two replacement pin boxes you are considering as a replacement for the original pinbox on the 35RKS.

On the gooseneck hitch topic, I have zero experience.
We had our factory pin box replaced by a Morryde Rubber Pin Box 4 days after buying our 340RL at the Alliance National Rally. Got a good deal from Morryde and they installed it for no additional cost. I wanted to get a lot of video of them doing the pin box change, but by the time I went inside, got my camera ready and went outside, it was already 90% done. The video is here with the pin box and sliding cargo tray install, if interested.

All that is great feedback and I appreciate everyone's honesty. It sounds like I need to throw the Reese Goosebox into my research. While I've heard good things about the GenY, I've also heard some major horror stories of the chucking issue. It's probably safe to just quit worrying about it and go with the GenY. Thanks again and I look forward to being a part of the fam!
Needless to say that chucking can occur with any hitch. I don't want to say it is less likely to happen with a goose, but maybe easier to diagnose? The goose reduces slack, which is only one contributor to chucking. Dynamic forces, all of them, are what cause chucking. Truck suspension (too stiff/soft), suspension timing because of that, nose high influence, load distribution influence, etc., all come into play. Being a suspension nerd on all my vehicles, I actually find the problem solving process on ride improvement fun and interesting (I know...weird. We all have our things).
