Master bedroom closet, is there insulation behind the wall on the front cap?

Noticed that when we left the master bedroom sliding doors open that it was either warmer or cooler in the bedroom. Unsure whether Alliance has any type of insulation behind the storage closet wall. So I added a layer of 1 inch bubble wrap across the wall, attaching with a staple gun. I then added thick white poster board across the bubble wrap with white duct tape to seal the edges. I then finished it off with a self adhesive wall paper purchased at Walmart. Not an extremely expensive project. But does take a little time, particularly the wall paper.
Overall, it makes a difference in the room temp. The self adhesive wall paper does add a nice touch to the closet wall.

We have a 2024 Alliance Paradigm 310RL

There is some foil backed insulation in the front cap, how thick I cannot tell you. While touring the factory I saw the insulation draped over the front before the cap was installed. You may be able to find a video of the production line showing the insulation.
Hope this helps,

Here are a couple of pictures I took of the factory tour. You can see the foil backed insulation on the noses prior to front cap install.

If memory serves me correctly, insulation was placed in the voids and the radiant foil barrier was draped over just prior to the cap install.

There is although it doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the void. Had to repair the wall on the back of the shelving with a L brackets and noticed this when inspecting.

While the nose area can still be very hot or cold. It's good to read there is some insulation in place.

Yeah, well if they come up short, nobody cares. I found this when I pulled some of the underbelly down…

If it is anything like the "fully insulated garage floor" on the Valors, it is largely useless. "fully insulated garage floor" means (3) pieces of 15" wide insulation cut two feet too short in 3 of the 6 - 24" wide inner joist spaces, and just layed on the coroplast. I replaced with real insulation supported with pipe strapping.

We are preparing to swap rooms with the kids and turn the master into a bunk room for them and in that reno, I intend to redo the insulation in the front cap so my daughter doesn't cook/freeze in her bunk/hideout up there.

I think the issue is not so much that it's poorly insulated. The entire trailer could stand more insulation.
The bigger issue is that there is no ducting in that closet area. If you are planning to use that space with door shut it will need a dedicated duct of some sort or there will always be climate control issues.
My bedroom A/C can handle the additional volume of the closet space. However the furnace struggles with keeping the bedroom warm when the temps. are below freezing

Exactly as I found. Very poor insulation, cut short big gaps, etc., basically just thrown in place to say, yep, it’s insulated. Just another example of mediocre rv manufacturing.
