Leaking pipes around hot water heater

I personally will never use the push to fit. Crip is the only way to go and brass is a must. I HATE the fact Alliance doesn't use brass through the RV.

By Brass I assume you mean copper. I believe copper was used in the early RV's before any plastic pipe had become common place.
However copper in an RV is not ideal, it freezes and splits easily vs. plastic, it also corrodes and does not behave well with acidic/well water.
Plastic pipe ( pex) is much more durable for RV use. We won't get into cost vs. plastic.
Copper pipe would add thousands of dollars to the cost of an RV's.

I believe Brinkley’s are using brass fittings.

In looking through some literature it looks like Binkley uses brass elbows.
I imagine that brass is less likely to crack but more likely to freeze.

I'm a fan of quality brass fittings too. But "brass" does not always outperform plastic. Cheap brass fittings can corrode and become brittle due to de-zincification. They should be of the proper alloy. The Sharkbite fittings in the Lowe's link above are quality. Most Amazon "no-name" brass is likely low quality. You get what you pay for in most cases.
