Kitchen Sink Won't Drain

Hey y'all,

I have a 2024 Avenue 37MBR bought new off from a dealer last December. The dealer was several states away, so the systems didn't get tested by me before delivery. I checked out most of the systems right after taking possession with no issues found. I just finished upgrading the electrical system (batteries, inverters, etc) so we haven't even been on our first trip yet.

This was my first time I did anything with the plumbing system. I de-winterized and sanitized the fresh water system and found no leaks or other issues... other than the kitchen sink won't drain.

I believe this unit only has one grey-water tank as I only see one grey pull handle. I may have to open the underbelly to trace things out and troubleshoot, but I'm really reluctant to.

Any words of wisdom?

If I looked up the correct floor plan I believe there is too much distance between the kitchen sink and bathroom to have just one gray tank. It really doesn't matter if I had the correct plan I would stick a camera down the drain before opening up the under belly.

Looked at it this morning and it drained overnight. No macerator pump and no 2nd grey tank. It's been a long weekend, I'll deal with it another day.

Your trailer has a monitor panel on the wall somewhere. On that panel you can read the battery level and tank levels by pressing the appropriate button. That panel should have a button for every tank in the trailer, black gray and fresh water. Your rig has just over 100 gallons of gray water capacity and I'm bettting that you've got two gray tanks. So you should see a button for each gray tank. You should also have two grey water drain handles outside somewhere. There are quite a few reasons why the sink doesn't drain. There could be a clog in the drain line. It is possible that the sink isn't vented properly or the vent is clogged. I don't know how handy you are, but I'd start by making sure the sink drain was installed properly and that it is vented properly. If looked fine I would take the drain apart and drop a camera or plumbing snake down to see I you hit an obstruction.

You should give Alliance a call and see if you can't speak to someone to get some advice. We're also not located anywhere near the dealership where we bought our trailer. So I find it's easier to do all the repairs on our trailers myself than to tow it 10 hours. Having said all that, if you do find an obstruction in the line, you're probably going to need to take it back to a dealer or have Alliance send out a mobil tech.

I hope this helps.

All tanks show empty on the gauge. I will deal with this soon. Thank you for responding.
