Jensen JWM22 receiver

We have the JWM22 receiver below the tv in the living room of our 2024 340RL. I am trying to get it to play tv sound (Insignia). In my TVs at home just hook up an HDMI cable to the ARC port on the tv then to the HDMI In port on the receiver & make sure the ARC port is activated on the tv. That is what the instructions say in the JWM22 manual as well yet I can’t get tv sound from the receiver speakers. There was an HDMI cable already plugged into the ARC port on the tv which is fed into a channel behind the tv. I’m not sure where it goes or if it plugs into the HDMI out port of the receiver but there are no other devices for it to plug into. I tried a number of things in the tv settings but nothing has helped so far. Anyone else tried this & if so can you tell me what I might try? Thanks

I’ve spent way too much time on ours (2024 310 Paradigm) trying to get the tv to work through the radio. I’m about ready to tear it out and replace it with a brass plate. I am trying to conserve power when boondocking and can’t even get it to power off the display. Bad choice, Alliance. Did no one in design department check the functionality of this thing before buying ?

The JBL system in the valor is a joke, too. Mine has very little functionality…..a handheld transistor radio would be a better option. One irritating feature is that it turns on when using the fireplace remote…..the answer to the question asking if anyone checks functionality? I say that is a NO!

On Our 2024 310 I got speakers to work by going into Bluetooth to hook up to tv. It is a pain in rear as you have to push buttons on Jensen to find tv on Bluetooth. It was not worth it. Sound is bad and tv speakers were better. Maybe get separate soundbar like others have done

As stated above the sound quality of the Jensen system is so poor it's not worth the trouble or effort to connect to it.
Just use TV speakers or get another sound bar.

I did manage to get a camera up to view the back of the radio and confirmed the hdmi from the tv is plugged in. Still can’t finger out how to get speakers to work and it sounds like it’s not worth it anyway. As soon as I figure out how to pull the fireplace drawer all the way out I am going to disconnect power to save some watts when boondocking as the display never shuts off.
Cheers

Never could get my tv to play through the Jensen. Best I got was blue tooth through my phone Apple Music through the Jensen. I have some Sony portable speakers I hooked to the tv through blue tooth. That’s much better than the Jensen anyhow.
