How Do I get the Sansui TV volume to work with my firestick remote?

We have tried to get the volume on this sansui tv to be operated by the firestick remote. We have 4 Firestick remotes in our home / RV and this Sansui TV is the only one to be a challange. Frustrated enough that I am considering just buy a new TV. Wwe can change channels, everything seems to work with the firestick remote except the volume.

Any Hints?

I can’t stand the sansui tv in our valor. I would buy a new tv.

My RV neighbor suggested I use CHATGPT. I not saying ChatGPT is the best, but... It confirms, or at least makes me feel better.


Your TV is a Sansui S50VAUW.
Based on this model and the symptoms you described:

• ✅ The Fire Stick remote navigates the Fire TV just fine.
• ✅ The LG Magic Remote controls the TV volume.
• ❌ The Fire Stick remote will not control the TV volume.

This points to the Fire Stick not having the correct IR profile for the S50VAUW. Unfortunately, this is a known issue with some newer Sansui TVs
