Help - Switching to lithium Delta 252RL

I just picked up a Delta 252RL and I want to use a lithium battery. Other than the solar charge controller, do I need to change a setting on anything else? My concern is charging when connected to a pedestal or generator?

You will need to check your converter make / model. Some have a switch that needs set to the battery type and some are auto detect. We have a 310 RL, so it is equipped with a switch that needs set accordingly.

Thank you. I thought so but, I have no ideal where the converter is. I found the A/C breakers and the DC fuses. I know where the solar charger is. I have no idea where to find the converter.

See if this link will work for you.
You might find some helpful information that allows you to indentify your converter.
Ours is part of the distribution panel and has a very tiny switch near the bottom that allows for battery type selection.
If its location isn’t obvious to you, give the A -Team a call with your VIN and I am confident that they can steer you to it.

MikeIam,

I too switched to lithium on our '24 385FL. The converter is built into the power distribution panel and I pulled the cover on the panel to access the switch that Bryan talks about above.
Switched it to Li and works great. I also set the parameters in the Renogy solar controller to match the lithium battery's specs.

Hope this helps,
Bruce

Once you change to lithium, your 4 LED battery gauge is worthless. Lithium will hold a higher voltage down to about 10% of battery remaining. You will see 4 LED showing 100% charge, until it is waaaay too late. You need to install a battery shunt, which will show you the exact battery level and the amount of amps coming in & out of the battery.

The Victron shunt is by far the gold standard. Install will take about 20 mins.
