Got to love fixing heating issues on the road?

Can't find heating issues in the Texas summer. Used 1 full tank propane in 2 days. Electric furnace on entire time. Its avg ~30 deg outside. Floor temp never gets above 50. I checked the belly and found it very hot. I guess once its daylight I'll empty ouy my underbelly pass thru, crawl in there, Dissasemble it and see what the problem is. O yea, it's 21 deg outside now. It's a dang shame.

Do you think that one of your vent ducts came loose and is pouring out into the belly?

Today's plan is to empty out the underbelly, crawl in there & figure it out. I felt blasting of hot air volume when i opened up inspection door. Frame work was so hot I could not touch it very long. There has to be a hole in there somewhere. Will post update.

Fire box had zero foil tape to stop leaks. It seems we threw about 15 feet of foil tape in 4" incriments to slow the heat blast escaping. It did help. But not 100%. When back at home in late Feb. we'll take heat box out and do it correctly. There about 10 screws holding it in place, and its screwed to a wooden pallet platform, that does not go thru the exterior hole. Which is DUMB. When I can see what the entire job & fix was, I will update with pictures. This system as far as i am concerned failed install, and quality control.

These pictures show box not sealed for leaks, and the metal frame by the water pump at 116deg at 2am when temps were 21 deg outside.

Hi 56Jeff - Thanks for posting a pic of the furnace / venting. It appears that two of the 4 inch HVAC vent tubes have relatively sharp bends. It is definitely worth trying to straighten them out as much as possible and support them so they stay that way. Need to work on my system when it gets cooler to get better / more even heat flow out of the vents.

Ours has two open vent ducts stuck down into the under bell, when I opened the pass through door I was greeted by a blast of hot air. It was much hotter than we could get the interior of our rig. I’m adding another vent in the living area.
