Generator question

Can you run the generator while in transit to power one of the AC units to keep the trailer cool?
Generally speaking, yes you can. However remember that this requires the fuel supply to be turned on during transit.
Also, some installation can be problematic because depending on your TV exhaust exit, the generator can draw in that hot air and overheat.

Seems like the most common practices for fifth wheels is to start the genset when your about an hour from your destination.

All depends on your comfort level and your installation and set up.

I think it also depends on your ambient temperatures. I think if you're in the desert somewhere parts of Fl. or Texas where the heat is extreme it may be worthwhile but here in the mid Atlantic where it gets very hot it's not worth running the air conditioner the rig will cool down in 15 to 30 minutes once we are set up.
