Generator issues 5.5 Onan EVAP.

Has anyone experienced a generator that will run anywhere between 5min to 1 hour with a load on it and then will start throttling weird and bog down and shut off? Under no load the generator seems to run fine.

Could be a fuel pump getting weak. They are notorious for going out.

I had that problem to, I undid the gas cap and it ran for two hours with no problem. Put gas cap back on and it continued to run with no problem. I think it got vaper locked when I got low on gas.

any resolution to this ? what were running as the load ? # ACs etc?

Running two AC'S Has not happen again yet. Maybe replace the gas cap.
