We order our 2024 310 RL with the factory installed Onan generator option. During PDI I noticed the the exhaust pipe extended rearward to the point that it touched the sewer outlet connection. Obviously, this wasn’t optimal and had the potential to result in heat damage to the plumbing and would certainly interfer with the ability to attached and disconnect the stinky slinky. Additionally it extended outward from the coach excessively and was a risk of getting caught on, well you name it !
The pipe is a two piece design, so I was able to separate it at the joint and shorten it by 9 inches to allow for unobstructed access to the sewer connection. Additionally, after review of the Onan Installation Manual I also was able to shorten the turnout section considerably and still be within their recommended protrusion specification. This provided both functional and cosmetic benefits to the installation. I wish I would have grabbed a before picture, but I didn’t(sorry). I have attached a picture of the joint at which I shortened it and picture of the improved clearance , as well as the reduced extension from the coach.
