anyone using the gooseneck

I just purchased a 29 RL with the hitch and it pulled great
I like only having a ball in the bed
Trying to. I just tried to install the hitch Gen Y sent but it was the wrong model. They are being good about the replacement. Glad to hear you are enjoying it. For sure on the bed being clear. I was looking forward to it when I saw the offset puck in the bed.

I had one installed on my 310RL before I picked it up. I have ZERO experience with a typical 5th wheel hitch, so I cannot compare the two. I grew up with gooseneck trailers and like the clean bed approach.
I have had no issues with my GenY and I have a several thousand miles on it by now. I'd have to check the mileage.
Bottom line, I have no regrets and highly recommend the GEN Y

Waiting on delivery of the new Curt Helux version directly from Lippert. Supposed to ship out on the 14th. Will be posting pictures once swap is done for everyone to check out. Decided on the Curt since it clears states lippert approved. :)

We have a 340RL with MorRyde IS and the Helux . It’s a nice setup in my opinion. I don’t a ton of experience towing fifth wheel trailers but it’s worked well so far. We just want the bed back.

I have a Reese Goose Box and I like the B&W removable ball as I use the truck Way more than I tow the RV.
takes a little skill, practice, finesse to get the hitch onto the ball.

We just swapped out our Helux pinbox for the Gen-Y gooseneck and so far we are VERY happy with the upgrade. The offset ball in the bed is an absolute must, though.

I’ll know pretty soon on my own rig, but I’m curious about clearance, your tow vehicle, what model Alliance you own. Thanks!
