Does anyone have any experience getting a data-only cell plan in Canada for the Winegard Gateway? We recently installed the router and have it working but when I went to find a cell plan for it I was not too successful. First I tried Telus and they didn't know what I was talking about. Next, I went to Rogers, who is supposed to be the Canadian 'partner' for Wingard but they didn't know anything about it either. They said they could sell me a plan which was a bit expensive but they didn't know if it would work with the Wingard. I have now purchased a plan through Wingard for $35USD for 3GB which will be somewhere in the $40-45CND, I believe. Kind of expensive but the Roger plan was something like $60 for 5GB, so not cheap either.
We are leaving for a trip across Canada and then back through the States so would want a plan that would work in Canada and the US.
Any comments?
