Garage washer and dryer outlets......

Why does Alliance install "blanks" where the washer and dryer outlets go? They have working outlets in the bedroom for W/D installs but not in the garage?
Please school me as to why no working outlets in garage...yes the wires are there and energized.....so why not the outlets?

Thanks

Mine was the same in my 40v13. I installed regular outlets in there. They might have saved a $.25 on each outlet, that is the rv manufacturers way. Cheap as they can.

I'm curious all both sets of washer/dryer outlets on the same circuit/breaker?
They are. I actually stole the washer outlet in the front closet location to put it in the garage location to plug in the kids' space heater or fan and confirmed both locations are on same circuit.

Yes I am also using the washer and dryer circuits for space heaters.
However I think this gives insight into why the rear outlets have blanks in them.
If all the outlets were live and running to sets of washer and dryers then the circuit would be overloaded.
Now should Alliance trust the end user not to install and use 2 sets of laundry equipment or do you wire one set with blanks and ensure someone doesn't overload the circuit?
Upon replacing blanks with real outlets the end users assumes some responsibility the loads on the circuit

….or…..alliance could have just added a real circuit instead of sharing them, hence the cheap out route.

While I generally agree with your sentiments. If I were building houses I would not rough in for 2 full laundry set up for just in case.
Alliance did the hard part for the just in case you want garage laundry. They ran the wire! For the most part no one has 2 laundry set ups.
Installing real outlets front and rear invites an overload issue, however installing the blanks forces the end user to make some decisions and removes overload liability from Alliance.
While its a bit confusing. I'm OK with Alliances approach to front and rear laundry rough in

When I remodel houses, I do things “in case”. When I built my house, I wired for multiple laundries and plumbed and wired for an additional kitchen…..with the idea of aging in place and having options to live on either level, separate from the other. Better to have the easy option for the minimal additional cost involved. Not That many years ago, houses were built with an eye to the future with lots of comm cabling and extra electric circuitry for the coming digital age at the time. Now everything is interconnected to the web whether it be appliances, security, etc. As usual, rv makers go the cheap route on everything to maximize their profits above all else. These units cost more than lots of houses, including my own. RV makers are not going to change much, history has proven this. The choice to own an rv is taking responsibility from the get go, not just for an electric circuit, but for everything, as the warranties are a joke.

Did something change over time? PS my Garage is not plumbed for the W/D though.

I get your point. For personal use and consideration wiring for additional circuits and laundry is a no brainer, However if mass producing units wiring for 2 laundry set ups when 99% of end users will only use on is not practical or profitable.
Alliance gave me a head start by installing washer dryer circuits. However I chose to repurpose the circuits for my needs.
Essentially alliance is installing wiring for 2 laundry set ups. The end user needs to decide which of the 2 they prefer to use. Fully installing both is overkill because both laundry circuits are not likely to be used for laundry purposes.
