Furrion Tankless Water Heater

Greetings.
Thanks for your advice. Hot water issue, Alliance Avenue 32rls at the island faucet.

Cold works fine city or fresh water tank using the water pump. Hot water works fine on the fresh water tank using the water pump.

Hot water on city water has 1/2 as much flow and pressure. No matter what we do, the pressure at the kitchen sink does not increase on city water.

We have the Furrion propane water Tankless Water Heater.
Some RV'ERS LOVE THEM others HATE THEM. I am in the HATE camp presently.

Because the water pressure on city water is so low at the kitchen sink, the water heater sensors do not allow the heater to turn on. We've been told that the water heater needs steady pressure and flow and we don't have that at the kitchen sink on city water.

What could be causing the flow and pressure to be so low that the water heater does not work as advertised at the kitchen faucet when we're on city water? Are the pex lines different under the kitchen sink?

It works fine on the water pump, so it is not a clog or build up in the pipes or faucet.

Does anyone have a plumbing diagram for a 2023 32RLS?

Thanks
RogMar

Is your problem limited to to the kitchen faucet only?
Could there be a restriction within the faucet spool valve that is only impacting the hot water discharge.
Many folks have found PEX and other debris in their spools and sprayers.
Could there be a shut off valve that is partially open or partially plugged in the hot line going to the kitchen sink.
Remember that pump pressure and city pressure could be different depending on how your inbound regulator is set for city water.

Not sure if this is your model or not, but it might help some.

Also, just for grins, have you checked the water inlet filter screen on the heater? Not likely your issue but it is a simple check.
Is your heater flow valve still set to max?
Also have you checked any outside faucet valves on your spray ports to ensure the cold and hot knobs are shut off.

Have you disconnect the hot line under sink and measure the flow rate compared to the cold line.
A stop watch and bucket would do the trick for comparison.
This might help tell you which direction you should head.
Just some random thoughts that are quick and easy checks.

As we mostly dry camp, I would never have a tankless water heater. I guess they might be okay if you always have water/sewer connections.

I am so sorry, I asked me wife to spell and grammar check my work. (It's not her fault, auto correct).
It is a Suburban tankless water heater.
As I had mentioned, hot and cold water pressure is fine everywhere while using water pump.
Cold water with city water is fine everywhere.
Hot water pressure is fine everywhere, except kitchen faucet, low flow and pressure. So low the Suburban Tankless Water Heater will not turn on.

It is not the faucet, Hot and Cold work fine on the water pump.

Thank you for finding the furion information.
It shows the filter that I don't have, however I did see some type of valve in the back.

I have a working theory:
The water feed from tank to the water pump to the water heater to bathroom sink and shower and kitchen sink are unobstructed.
The water feed from spigot to the water heater to the, bathroom sink and shower are unobstructed.
Water heater has separate feed spigot water has obstruction or possible valve that causing the issue.
Thanks

Thank you for reading this, perhaps this will help if you encounter a issue like this.
Never leave your water pressure regulator and or your fresh water filter in your coach over winter storage.
That said, we went to the 2025 Alliance Rally in Goshen Indiana this year. While traveling, I ran into Greg a semi retired plumber on a overnight stay at Ohio Turnpikes Blue Hering Service Plaza ($20.00 includes 20, 30, and 50 amp. electric and a dump station)
On water pump from the fresh water tank we are using 1/2" Pecs plumbing with the exception of the fittings.
On city water I was using brass quick connects from the spigot to my guaged pressure regulator (this had a defective water pressure indicator guage) to a quick connect to my dedicated 1/2" hose to the quick connect in and out of me Blue Camco filter to the RV water input.

Solution: I replaced the Guage part I bought on Amazon.
Checked the water pressure. It was at 40 psi, using the dial on the regulator setting it at 50 psi. Removed the quick connect on the connection between the pressure regulator and the fresh water hose.
All Hot and Cold works everywhere: Bathroom sink, Shower, Kitchen sink and Outdoor Nautilus Shower.
Increase pressure with new Guage and reduce flow constrictors like quick connects.
Hope this helps
