Greetings,
I have a Delta 262RB in production with delivery coming in a few weeks, and I put together a pre-delivery inspection checklist for it. It turned into something more useful than I expected, so I am sharing it rather than keeping it to myself.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT FROM THE GENERIC PDI LISTS
Most of the checklists circulating online are written for any RV. That means they have you lighting a propane refrigerator you do not have, testing a cable TV jack that was never installed, and inspecting carpet in a carpet free coach. Useful bones, wrong unit.
This one is built around what Alliance actually puts in the Delta: 50 amp service with two air conditioners, the solar package with the 30 amp MPPT controller and 3000 watt inverter prep, the 12 volt compressor refrigerator with no propane operation, the walk on seamless PVC roof, the MorRyde Step Above entry, dual convenience centers, roller shades rather than blinds, the heated and enclosed underbelly with 12 volt tank heaters, and the slide box exterior storage that only the 262RB and 281BH get.
Items that do not apply to this coach were removed rather than left in place to be skipped, and items the generic lists never covered were added: solar and inverter prep verification, the 12 volt refrigerator battery draw question, tire monitor and backup camera prep, black tank flush, the heated underbelly, and a full towing handoff covering the seven way, breakaway switch, lug torque, and weight distribution setup.
HOW IT IS SET UP
230 items across twelve inspection tabs, worked in order: Before Delivery, Exterior and Roof, Running Gear, Storage and Utilities, Electrical and Solar, Plumbing and Tanks, LP and Appliances, HVAC and Safety, Slide and Awning, Interior, Common Defects, and Paperwork and Handoff.
Every item row gives you the check item name, a full description of what to actually verify and why it matters, a checkbox, a result dropdown of OK, Issue, N/A, or Deferred, and a notes column for what you found.
Color does the tracking for you. Each section heading and the tab title run white when nothing is recorded, amber while in progress, red when every box is ticked but results are still unresolved, and green when everything is checked and every result came back OK or N/A. Rows marked Issue shade light red and rows marked Deferred shade light blue, so what is left stays visible while you scroll.
The Start Here tab has a live progress table showing, per section, the item count, how many are checked, and how many came back OK, Issue, Deferred, or N/A, plus an Open column that counts down to zero. That last number is the finish line.
The Punch List tab is the document you hand the dealer. Anything marked Issue or Deferred gets transferred there and sorted into five categories: Defect and Missing, which are the dealer's obligation and belong on a work order, and Not tested, Training, and Question, which are yours and need written acknowledgment instead of a repair. Filter views let you print those as two separate signed pages. The split matters more than it sounds. A list that says here are eleven defects I am holding you to, and separately here are nine items I could not verify and want acknowledged, is a very different conversation than one undifferentiated list of thirty complaints.
Two more tabs round it out. Unit Reference holds the published specifications the list was built from, so you can check your own build against them. Quick Reference Card is a one page sheet you fill in once and keep in the truck: overall and towing length, height including the air conditioners, width with the slide in and out, weights, tank capacities, propane quantity, tire pressure from the placard, lug torque, and the phone numbers you will want when something goes wrong at a campground.
HOW I PLAN TO USE IT
Before Delivery gets completed about a week ahead, since several of those items are things the dealer needs to do before you arrive: fill the fresh tank, fill the propane, wash the unit. The rest gets worked at the trailer over three to four hours. Photograph every defect, wide shot for location and close shot for detail, and reference the file name in the notes column. Nothing gets signed until the punch list is written, signed, and dated.
ABOUT THE EXCEL VERSION
One thing to know: checkboxes do not survive the conversion between Excel and Google Sheets. If you use the xlsx file, you will need to select column C from row 5 down on each tab and use Insert, then Checkbox. It takes about a minute for the whole workbook. Everything else, the dropdowns, the color rules, and the formulas, should come across.
If you use the Google Sheets copy link instead, the checkboxes are already in place, so that is the easier path if you are set up for it. The link makes a copy into your own Drive, and you can change anything you want in your copy.
MY ASK HERE
I would appreciate a review from people who have already taken delivery. Specifically:

MY ASK HERE
I would appreciate a review from people who have already taken delivery. Specifically:
- What did I miss? If something bit you at delivery or in the first month and it is not on this list, tell me and I will add it.
- What did I get wrong for your model year? Alliance changes content year to year, and I built this from the 2025 and 2026 specifications plus dealer listings. If your unit differs, I want to know where.
- Are any items unclear, or written in a way that would not make sense standing in a dealer lot at hour three?
