I have only towed using the Anderson 3.0 hitch. I know about chucking but I am not so sure that the money spent on the this Helux gooseneck would warrant the expenditure. I guess if you are full timer and on the road all the time it could be but for someone that is not, that is a lot of money for a smooth ride that I have found not that bad on the roads I have traveled so far. Maybe one day I will look more into it but for now, I like/love my Anderson!!! And HOLY CRAP!! Just looked and its $2700!! That is a big NO!!!
I get the sticker shock. I’m Polish, so I get it at a genetic level. But anything vehicle related is my thing. My wife calls my truck the other woman, to give you an idea. Busted my hindside and was frugal since I was 14 and I’m able to do a few more things now with less of a worry. I get completely how someone could view it as a waste of money. I just view it differently.

Didn't say it was a waste of money. If that is what YOU want, and it comes out of YOUR bank account, more power to ya! Having been on this and other sites for some years, it seems that if you have the money, folks just like to spend it on stuff that is really not needed other than saying they have this or that. Case in point is how many times have you seen a 5th wheel truck with 2, 3 or more screens mounted on the dash. Now there are navigations computers and tire pressure monitors but some have 2 navigation computers not counting what is on their phone and able to tie into that big screen mounted in the truck. Mine is a '22 F250 with a 12" screen. I can tie in carplay and the maps on the phone and go back and forth to verify routing. I use RV Trip Wizard for camp sites and low bridges and use Google Maps to verify routes.
That is not to say if I get on a back road that I totally trust any map and keep a watchful eye out for low bridges and such. Other than my backup camera screen that I use to monitor who/what is behind me going down the road, my vision is unobstructed.
just like you said, You just view it different. My answer is "Not my monkey, not my circus!" After all, that is what makes the economy go and it is true that different people like different things and I think much of that is dependent on how you were raised. IT's what makes the world go round and round!!

Happy Glamping!!!
