Delta 262RB grill/griddle

I’m on my first outing with my new Delta 262RB. It’s time to fix dinner on the outdoor grill/griddle. I open the door, pull out the unit, attach the gas line to the unit, reach under the camper to attach the bayonet fitting and the line is several inches short. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just purchased my Delta 262RB and during the walk thru, I noticed that line was almost to short. The guy got it work but I will be buying a 12ft line from Amazon. The one that comes with the unit is only 7ft. Here is the one I am going to by:

I did get ahold of ALLiance and they said to route the line through the space between the carriage base and the grill unit. That worked with very little length to spare, I don't like the way the rubber line gets so close to the burners so I'm going to do what you did and go for the 12ft quick connect hose. Thanks for your feedback.

My 7' line reaches with room to spare, and routing it as indicated would be awkward.

I can only guess they made a mid-year change to the grill orientation or moved the connect. My grill's back is toward the entry door, and my quick connect is rear of the axles.

I would also like to ask how hot these grills get. I carry a Weber Traveler grill and have been both reluctant to get the Greystone dirty and afraid the open top won't get hot enough to sear or make crispy smash burgers.

They may have changed the connection point behind the rear axle. Mine Manufactured in the summer of 2023 has the grill located almost at the center between the axles with the connection on the left side of the grill and to the right if the front axle. I tried to use the grill this week but I couldn't get the fitting to lock. I can't tell you how they cook, only used it once or twice to cook bacon in a pan.

I did the same, snaked it up behind the griddle and had to tighten the quick connect fitting on the grill to face up instead of to the side. Could not get enough room to fit the quick connect on... Works great now....

It is a bit dark, but this is mine (mfr 1/2024) with back of grill to back of trailer and quicknconnect between back axle and door. That "fix" gives me tons of gas line.

Your setup is totally different than mine because you have a different model, I've had campers with the grill at the rear and depending on the scope of the pad the grill is either down near my knees or up at my shoulders. The 262RB is centered over the axles so the slope makes no difference. God bless you all, and may you have many years of camping ahead of you.

Yeah.....that grill location is the same as mine but my quick connectt is to the right of the axles. I didn't look to see if there is another quick connect as you have pictured. I head out again in 8 days, I'll have to check that out.
