Delaminating cabinets

80% of my cabinets are delaminating. Of course it waited for my warranty to expire! Just another of many post Covid problems with this trailer. Any suggestions on repairing?

How far out of warranty are you? This could not have happened over night?
I would call Alliance anyhow. Looks like a chance for them to ”Do the right thing.”
This should not happen? Bad batch of glue Or something?

Was this RV in an area with extreme humidity? Looks like way too much moisture inside the RV for an extended period of time.

I was thinking the same thing. Lots of moisture involved.

Purchased 5/2022. I live in high desert of SE Washington state. Very dry. Trailer always stored with several DampRid scattered about. Never a moisture problem. Delaminating was first noticed on one lower cabinet in February when we were on our 4 month trip to Florida. Showed the issue to the Alliance people at the Southern Ally Rally and was told it's an out of warranty issue. It only starts on the “cut” ends of the cabinets and is happening on almost every cabinet. Contacted Carter Cantrell of Alliance and he said that since it’s out of warranty all I can do is bring to dealer service and have them submit claim to the cabinet manufacturer to see if they would cover the repairs. I am in that process but wanted to know if anyone had this issue and how it was resolved in case the manufacturer wouldn’t help.

It is very difficult to tell what is going from the pics, on one hand it appears that the wood is bowing in others it looks like water has gotten under the paint or covering. I haven't looked at how they hang the cabinets but if I were you an attempt would be make to take them down and see if the bad joints can be pulled apart enough to reglue with dowels and clamps to hold the joints. The faces would have to be sanded flush and painted. It might be easier to make new, if you don't have the tools get an estimate from a cabinet maker. Makes me sick 2 yo cabinets should not be coming apart! Good luck with the manufacture. I'm sure we all will be interested in what the outcome is.

Cabinet is sound, joints are tight. The only thing happening is the plastic like laminate is peeling away. No water damage, just a crappy idea for a cabinet finish.

I told my wife if the paper wood trim started coming off I would remove it and paint, With the new information I think that's what I would do with your plastic laminate, my guess would be heat and bad contact glue is the cause. That said heat may take it all off, would love to know what the manufacturer recommends for fixing.

I thought of that but was told by Alliance service that pressboard looks terrible painted…..great. Trailer goes into dealer Thursday to get evaluated for a claim. Will keep updating this thread.
