The Victron MultiPlus II is a device that powers the RV's 120v (runs 2 AC's while offgrid) and charges 12v (plus a few more features) It is shown in the upper left of this image of my new power system. I kept nothing from Alliance.View attachment 1629

Can anyone help me with the best option on battery voltage for inverter systems, I have a 12 volt residential frig and hydraulic leveling system and wonder if a 24 volt inverter system is better or just stay with 12 volts. My understanding is when you go to 24 volt it gets complicated powering the 12 volt systems. I'm not planning on boon docking for extended periods of time just be able to over nite from time to time.
24v is nice if you're into major boondocking...like >14 days at a time. You said you only plan on doing it overnight a few times. Stick with 12v, life will be a lot easier for you. For what it is worth, we like to boondock for ~7-10 days at a time and I stayed with a 12v system.
