Considering a Valor

I'm considering a big upgrade to a Valor along with a diesel 1 ton to tow it with. A question I haven't found any answers to is how folks are filling up the fuel station tanks since they're gas only. I'm not considering bringing gas toys with me and will use the garage as an office. But I would want to run the generator.

I'm assuming I'd mainly be fueling up the truck in the truck lanes at truck stops, where gas is not available. How do you fill your fuel station tanks?

While we do not have a Valor, you raise a great point.
I guess you will need to fill cans and transfer it(PIA , I know), or you will need to scout out travel centers that have gas pumps with plenty of room to maneuver with High Canopies and make it a multi step process.

I find the kwik stars have plenty of room to fuel the rear tank of my valor. Lots of big gas motorhomes out there, so canopies are plenty high. Casey’s truck stops are fairly easy as well. You also could forego the Benny and upgrade the solar and battery bank instead.

I'm not familiar with those. I also plan to put as much solar and battery capacity as I can on it. The genny is because I'm a belt and suspenders kind of guy.

Gas up late at night when it’s not busy.
Put your gas on board in the trailer and haul it down the road.
The generator is very fuel efficient, I assume your generator is gas and not propane, those tanks on board your trailer will last a long time.

I just use a 5 gallon gas can. Once full I find it pretty easy to keep topped off. We don't do hardly any boondocking so most of our generator use is running it once a month and when power goes out in the park we are staying in. Found that to be quite a bit last year wintering in Texas.

This! Or Maverick stations also have both gas and diesel at the truck lanes.

I've never had an issue getting ours into the normal gas lanes on the ends of fueling bays, I scout out either of the end bays so I don't have to squeeze through them but I have done this at a buc-ee's (constant traffic jam).

We have the 44V14 at 46' long and have been able to get in and out just fine. Obviously mileage will vary and you wont be able to squeeze into a tight lot but if you scout the end bays and pull through with both of them open, you can typically fill the truck with the front pump (assuming it has diesel) and the aux tanks with the rear pump at the same time.
