Ceiling panel trim (t-molding)

Trim in the bathroom is coming down. Someone before me tried to glue it up with silicone. That didn’t work out. I have pushed hard trying to snap it back into place but nothing. It just sags back down.

Contacted Alliance and request a replacement piece so hopefully it will fix the issue.

Anyone have this issue? My concern is the track in the ceiling the molding snaps into was damaged at some point and new t molding won’t fix the issue?

Is this stuff a one time use and if removed it needs to be replaced with new?

I would silicone it in place using a small piece of wood or something to prop it up or wedge it in place . Run the wood from the floor to the ceiling and cut it tight enough that it keeps trim in place until silicone/glue can set up

I ordered a new strip, $4. I’ll give it a try, if it won’t hold then I’ll try some type of adhesive. Most glues won’t stick to plastic. It seems to be the same type of plastic a glue bottle is made of.
