Carrying step ladder on rear attached coach ladder.

I see this being done on other campers and would like to do it as well but am concerned with the possibility of causing problems. Just wondering what others think about this.

I think the ladder is rated for 250lbs. Just ensure you have the step ladder secured well, and you'll have no problems.

I did it on my prior RV. It worked for about 2 years? But eventually the top brackets
cracked. I believe carrying the ladder caused the issue.

We travel with a 6ft fiberglass ladder and two folding chairs strapped to our ladder. We have been doing this on two trailers over 9 years, never had an issue.

I mounted my 6’ Flip-N-Lite inside the storage bay. Great ladder! Had it for years, holds 300 lbs, very sturdy even on top rung.

The ladder has a static weight rating, some are 250 pounds. Keep in mind that bouncing down the road what is strapped to it will experience g-forces. Just guessing here but those g-forces could double or triple (or more) its weight.
Personally I wouldn't hang anything more than lightweight items like a small step ladder or lightweight chairs. It's not worth the risk.
— YMMV

Spot on! There is more than just static weight to consider. I have strapped things to ladder on previous campers, I don’t do it anymore.

I am a reformed ladder strapper as well. I used to strap things to the ladder but after discovering the collateral damage I no longer do it

I don’t carry anything on my ladder and I have a broken screw on bottom ladder mount from all screws being installed at an angle instead of straight in.
