Bypassing Solar Charge Controller to charge Battery

Hi Everyone - probably a silly question, but I'm having some problems with my 12v system. I have a 40amp Rover Charge Controller connected to my Alliance Valor 37v13. I just got it back from my dealer and when I went to go inside with the battery switch turned on, I had no power. No lights, not slide outs, nothing. When I looked at my charge controller it is showing ACR on the screen. The only thing I can think of is while at the dealer the battery was left on and the LI battery that I have is now completely discharged. When on shore power inside I see the battery is charging and is 100% full but I have nothing when I disconnect shore power. Is there a way to bypass the charge controller to have shore power charge my battery? Or do I just need to reset my charge controller and if so how do I do that? Let me know if pictures will help.

** NEVER NEVER NEVER bypass solar controller. Incoming solar power is VERY high...like 200-300 watts ***

A typical BMS inside lithium batteries will shut down if they get too low. Some will wake up with just the converter charging it, others need a bit more power. You can take your jumper cables from truck and attach to battery bank (with truck running of course). That should be enough to wake the BMS.

thank you, I will give that a try soon as I can and let you know how it goes. I'm hoping that's what it is as I don't feel like bringing it back down to my dealer; they are not exactly close.

Just for clarification, the solar charge controller should have no bearing on your batteries being charged with shore power. Your batteries charge on shore power from the converter / charger that is part of your breaker panel. Try what Jim said above and you should be all good.

@Focker - true that it doesn't as I can see it charging when on shore power. The problem I was having was when not on shore power was I had not lights in the trailer, thus leading me to believe that there was something wrong with the battery. And after reading found that sometimes disconnecting the charge controller, in case it had a permanent error, would allow the 12v system to work. I will try the jumper cables, I'm assuming that using a jump box would also do similar to jumper cables from a running truck?

I went and tried the jump thing and battery was reading just fine at 13v and all the power came on in my trailer when not plugged into shore power. But my solar charge controller still shows and ACR error; is there a way to reset the controller or just take it back to the dealer to have it looked at.

Did you try all of these solutions?

Looks like Jim provided a great resource below to troubleshoot with. It would appear your issue is likely the controller is set for the wrong voltage OR you are missing a good power and or ground circuit between the controller and the battery. ACR basically indicates power from the solar panels is powering the controller and it is reporting a missing battery circuit.
Check for bad connections (loose/dirty), blow fuse/breaker between the battery and controller.
Have to wonder if someone just missed hooking a wire up at the battery.

I have looked at all wires and they are all connected nothing is missing and i haven't seen any blown fuses. I'll go through the wiring again to try and find a different fuse. It was just in for a awning warranty repair so not sure why any of the circuits would have been messed with.

Thanks everyone for input, I'll inspect everything one last time, otherwise I'll take to my dealer for warranty again because I don't see where there are any breaks in the circuit from battery to charger controller
