Braking force on Ford Super Duty trucks

Curious to what folks are using, those that have a Ford super duty truck F350 for trailer braking effort. (We have a 2024 Paradigm 310RL). There is also an additional adjustment, which I think controls additional braking effort LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH.
Currently, 6 braking and LOW.

F-350...5.0 on the electric over hydraulic to disk brakes here as well. Don't forget to use the engine brake when hauling as well. It makes a huge difference.

Same here. F-350. Electric over hydraulic. Set to medium and 5.5. Agree with RockDr, engine breaking does help. I use it all the time!

Yes, double tap that exhaust brake button on your Super Duty pickup to have the Auto Exhaust Brake engaged, it is pretty effective. Just recently I was talking with a buddy with an ‘18 F-350 dually he tows his fiver with, mentioned the Auto EB and he said his didn’t have that function. Told him to tap the button twice, after the next tow day he was very happy with the increased braking.

7 and high on my f350 dually electric only. Auto brake is great. Tap to 5 under speed you want on grade and keeps it like cruise control

I have a Chevy, but I just use my exhaust break. I Never drive without it on! I like to know that when a deer jumps out and my foot comes off the gas peddle the truck and trailer are being slowed before I can even go for breaks.

As for down hill the exhaust break Is the best. Go down same speed you went up, lock in grab a gear and go 45-50 all the way down the hill.
Rarely ever even have to touch the breaks.

I have tried various settings but am most comfortable with ours set at medium and 6.5. Tow mode on our Ford F 250 automatically turns on the exhaust brake. If you want more aggressive or cruise control exhaust braking, you can use the button on the dash. I have tried different combos and find the tow mode exhaust brake handles it fine for me.
