Boon Docking Grand Canyon

Fire road 688. 4 nights. 310RL, 4K Generator, 1 stock solar panel, 2000w inverter, 300 lithium battery. All went well and Grand Canyon is spectacular and bike trails in the park were nice.

Google fire road 688. Looks to be BLM and camp where ever. Good to know. I was more surprised at the 5er being there. I got a buddy in Arizona and he says lots of campgrounds restrict to under 30’ with most limiting factors being roads to get there. BLM, if you can get there, you can camp there.

BLM land. First time off the grid. Road our bikes further down the road and there is spots to camp everywhere. Saw more fifth wheels, a few class A’s, tents, and a semi. So a lot of big spaces.

Charging the battery and making the coffee. Anybody have a better set up post a pic. Do carry any gas with me and don’t like to lift out the propane tank.

I have a similar generator set up. However I can connect genset to the RV exterior propane quick connect. This allows me to run genset via both lp tanks.

Great idea. I did not know if it would work using two regulators (camper and generator). Thanks.

It took a bit of trial and error to figure out what regulator to use and how to configure them. But it's doable.
However your method works just as well and is certainly and easier more direct way to accomplish the same goal

How do you hook a generator to a gas line?
what does it do? Power the propane without using battery?
