Birds nest

Discovered this morning that birds are trying to build homes in the cap of our 340RL. I was unaware of the gap at the forward portion of the hitch, that allows them access into the cap area. Seems that Alliance should have closed this off somehow. Anyone else w this issue? Only thing I can think to do is pull all bolts but one pair from the fifth wheel, swing it down and attempt to empty the area best I can. Then screen/foam the thing closed?

I had that problem on my old fiver. I evicted them by hand and if tried to rebuild, tore down nest. Pest block foam should do the trick.

We have had wrens build next in about 30 minutes. Kept pulling nesting material out every 30 minutes. They finally left it alone.
