Back up Camera Switch

We just bought a 2024 RD and it is pre-wired for a back up camera. Everything we read said there was supposed to be a switch to turn it off and on. We can't find it. We looked on the panel inside the camper (where it was supposed to be) but it isn't there. We have a kitchen lights and accessory lights holder (no switch on either of those) but nothing labeled for the camera. Any idea where else it would be or if we just don't have one?

My 340RL has a switch, but I don't use it. I wired my 3 cameras to the marker lights, so they all come on when I turn the truck headlights on. Simple...easy...works for me.

The back up camera prep provides a switched 12 DC circuit to the rear drilling in the coach. So, yes any camera that is powered by 12v Dc could be installed to leverage the prep work.

I second Jim's emotion. After our Furion monitor went out. We replaced with the Haloview BT7 Touch. It is excellent and I believe it has more clarity. If you need TPMS as well, Haloview now has it incorporated into a a camera system.

My camera switch is on the panel inside.
you are lucky if yours is always on! Saves you from forgetting to turn it on and have to open back up and turn it on when you forget

3rd on staying away from Furrion; poor image quality and reliability with the monitor. I have a Haloview BT7 Plus kit + Dash Cam sitting on the table for installation this weekend. Another benefit you get with Haloview is ability to record your camera feed (whatever is displayed on the monitor) to an SD card. I currently intend to make the "dashcam" portable so that we can stick it on the kingpin if one of us is solo for a hookup (hasn't happened yet). Our current rear camera is powered by a switch in the coach and the side cameras by the side marker lights. I'm tempted to provide power separately to the side marker cameras so that I can potentially use the system for surveillance when we are parked.

I am looking at putting a camera in the 3rd brake light on our 2017 GMC 3500. There are kits that allow you to toggle between the tailgate camera and the bed camera.

I have a camera mounted with the 3rd brake light. Additional camera is controlled by a toggle switch that switches between tailgate camera and 3rd brake light camera. Image displays on built in dash screen.
I did not install myself. I was told by aftermarket installer, that truck computer had to be reprogrammed by dealer to make it all work o_O
I have a 2019 3500 Chevy Dually

Installed a 4th Haloview camera that was originally intended to be a dashcam as a rearview camera on the truck. Mounted it on the inside at the top of the center window. Mounted the Haloview monitor on the rearview mirror as a permanent installation. The video quality on the Haloview is night and day improvement over the Furrion we had. The view on the rearview cam is better than the OEM mirror so big win.

Ignore the morié pattern, that's from taking the photo! We use the tape on the kingpin like a gunsight to align the hitch.
