Avenue 30BH

I'm looking really hard at a new 30BH but have some questions, if anyone here knows. Really just three for now, but many more to follow, I'm sure!
Has anyone had experience with dual-pane and/or frameless windows and are they worth extra $$? Does Alliance offer them for this model? Is the second AC (8k) for the bedroom really the only optional item on the build sheet (great if so, since that means all the other good stuff is included!)? Ok, so maybe that was actually 3-1/2 questions...

I would recommend that you call Alliance directly to have the discussion about available options on that line. Head to the Corp. Website and the inside sales number is listed. We learned about factory installed washer and dryers when we made the call prior to ordering our 2024 310 RL.

We did order with the dual pane windows, and personally I think that the provide value. It is my perception (can’t prove with fact) that they provide some sound insulation and some protection against heat gain and heat loss. Additionally, some protection against condensation. They do however add some weight to the rig.

I am sure others will offer their options, and admittedly the air gap between the panels is small which effects the efficiency.
Bottom line, if I was ordering another one, I would invest in the dual panels again based on my experience with them.

The main reason dual pane windows exist is to reduce energy cost.
However in a RV there is no quantifiable energy savings.
Many report the biggest noticeable benefit of dual panes is sound reduction.
I do not have an issue with RV parks being too loud, for the most part I enjoy the sounds at a campground be it the sounds of nature birds etc. or the sounds of kids playing either way noise at RV parks is not an issue for me.
With that in mind I fail to see the benefit of dual pane windows for RV's. It's a feature that's great for a home but doesn't translate very well to an RV.
Dual panes reduce sound according to many, but provide little to no energy savings. For me I don't need any additional sound reduction, especially when it comes with payload reduction as a added disadvantage. Add in the cost of the alleged upgrade and I don't imagine they pay for themselves in the way that dual panes pay for themselves in a house.

Well, the inspector is doing his thing on the 30BH today for me. Planning to finalize everything first of next week after I get the report and they fix/don't fix the stuff he finds. With any luck, I should be bringing home my first fifth wheel (I've had travel trailers for years) by mid-week!

Brought it home yesterday. Now the REAL work begins! Need to move everything over from the old camper (including hanging the TV in the kids' room). Mainly just some minor fit and finish so far (fingers crossed!).

-More questions to follow, but was anyone else's grill/griddle connection facing left like mine? It points right at the slide mechanism on the left and while the propane line CAN be connected, it sure is a bugger to do! Should be an easy enough fix, I'd think, but not sure why that passed? Need to make sure I still have some of the yellow Teflon tape stuff.

-Starlink...There's an outlet in the basement to plug in the cable from the antenna, but where does that terminate inside? Should be somewhere inside to plug in the router, but I'm not seeing it? There IS a cable TV coax connection next to the bed, though? I have the legacy Starlink (Gen 2?) unit, with the larger, "actuated" (motorized) antenna.

Crisis narrowly averted...the inside end of the Starlink connection is in the cabinet above the sink (back side of the control panel), along with a 110 outlet to plug in the router's power cord. Still no idea what the coax next to the bed is for?
