Alliance RV's now coming with Victron Solar Controllers?

Hello. I've seen a couple of Facebook posts that showed the 2025 340RL Paradigms with Victron Solar Controllers in them. They have the standard solar setup, not the Super Solar Plus package. Anyone know if this will be the case on all Alliance products going forward? Will they change the Super Solar Package too? I have a 2025 Avenue 32RLS with the Super Solar Package on it on order for a March delivery and I'm curious to know what I will be getting. That might not be a MPPT controller, but rather a DC-to-DC charger. I see the axle has been upgraded to an 8k (see image) which might also lead me to think it might have disc brakes. We ordered our 340RL with IS and Disc Brakes and it did come with the DC-to-DC charger. They include DC-to-DC controllers with disc brake units, so you always have 12v power while towing (to engage the disc brake actuator)

I am 99% sure that is a Solar Controller. The DC / DC has 3 lines of text, the controllers have 2.

Unless this RV has disc brakes, I agree it is most likely a MPPT controller.

Yes, I agree that it is most likely a MPPT controller based on the pictures you posted Foker. Which again makes me curious as to whether all Alliance RV's (I've seen Delta's with them too) will be receiving the Victron Controllers and what does it mean for my 32RLS with the Super Solar Package.

Hornsky, I would suggest you call the inside sales number at Alliance and ask them your direct questions. This way you should know for sure what you will be supplied with.
We found them extremely helpful when we ordered our 310 RL back in Aug. of 2023.
The number can be found on the main Alliance website.

I've been emailing April Clark in sales and she acknowledged that they will be using Victron components but she couldn't tell me specifically what I would be getting. She forwarded my email address to the Sales Rep for Avenues in my area of the country (WI). He is supposed to get a hold of me. I will let you know what I hear as well.

I will say that I'm happy to hear the change over to Victron as it seems to be the current "gold standard" at this point.

Yea...I am very happy with Victron gear. Not shown in this image is my new 50 amp Victron Orion DC-to-DC charge controller.

I spoke to my sales rep who handles my area for the Avenues and he told me that the camper will come with a Victron Charge Controller but everything else will be Renogy. He also said that mine may be the last unit that has the Super Solar installed as they are doing away with that option. He said that the quantity of those they sell has been shrinking as most people do their own thing. He has it and said that they love it and use it quite a bit. Of course, he is in sales so...

The "super solar" was a nice option, but way overpriced. You can get the same done by local solar installer for ~60% less and you get to pick the hardware you want. I took everything out of our 340RL (solar panel, controller, dc-to-dc charger) and replaced it all with Victron, Battle Born batteries and Rich Solar panels. (10x2000w panels now)

Last I heard the package included all the items below and I think it was close to $8,500.

Super Solar Plus

• - (2) Additional 320 watt Solar Panels
• - 3 x 100 amp Hour Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries
• - 60 AMP Charge Controller
• - Energy Management
• - 3,000 Watt Inverter

The package you listed is pretty close other than the standard panel and the additional panels are now 400 watts for a total of 1200 watts.

The MSRP on the Super Solar Plus is $8580.00 (you were right on) and my dealer is selling it to me for $6000.00.

The local solar installer quoted me an approximate price for a 1200 watt Victron system of $10,000 to $14,000 (the range due to not having installed one on a 32RLS before).

We decided to go with the Super Solar package for a few different reasons. The price was less, even though I know the Victron products are superior to the Renogy. Also, it will be covered under the factory warranty. Another factor is that we have never boondocked and so we didn't feel the need to "go all in" to find out we won't camp like that very often.

I know that the Renogy inverter basically sets us up with a 30 amp system vs the true 50 amp system that the Victron system allows, but we live in WI so running three A/C's on the batteries will probably not be necessary in most cases.

I also felt that if we do find out we like to boondock, with the solar already on the roof and 3 x 100 amp batteries, I can upgrade the system more easily.

Solar energy production is great with a large array but unreliable under the forest canopy regardless of size where we normally stage. I have a fully built out van with battleborn batteries and full Victron system components so have a baseline for cost. For the components alone you are likely looking at close to 9k or more. Easily. Go to explorists.com and select a 50 amp rv system and it will give you an idea of cost. If you were to do the work yourself it would be more reasonable but how realistic is that for the average rv owner. Any installer is going to charge thousands more to install so probably closer to 15k for total comparable Victron system.

Renogy components are much cheaper but for 6k for the whole package it’s hard for me to believe you could find an installer that would be significantly cheaper. I certainly appreciate your comments but don’t want the audience to misunderstand the cost differences. I would really be interested in who you would refer in Oregon that could save me 60%.

Doing it yourself, not done by professional. I just helped a buddy do his install and saved ~$9000 from local shop.

To follow up, I confirmed that there are more options available now with the super solar package. At least on my build. It has not been announced to dealers and there are no published price lists yet, etc…. I do not know details of how they will package or what the standard offering will be in the near future.
Many thanks to Hornsky who started this thread which lead me to contact corporate office / regional sales to sort out what options were now possible vs what was originally offered and adjust my build. My paradigm will now be built with 3 400 watt Go Power solar panels, Victron components including solar charge controller, multiplus inverter, system monitoring with the GX touch 50, etc.. and two 400 amp hr self heating renogy lithium batteries. It is costing a few bucks more but well worth it in my opinion as this is a significant upgrade to the original package and will provide for most of my off the grid requirements.
