Adapter for the fresh water drain

Dumping my fresh water tank straight down underneath my trailer isn't a very elegant solution. I'd rather run it somewhere it could be more useful and less of a mess.

I checked my supplies to see about rigging up a push-on or plug-in pvc hose adapter but not much is compatible with the inside or the outside of that valve. The male end of a 1½' screw coupler could be workable with a duct tape thread wrap and the OD of a 1¼" pipe coupler looks pretty good.

Has anyone built an attachment to run that water elsewhere? What did you use?

I actually did do this. It got a bit messy whenever I would sanitize my freshwater tank and be dumping 100's of gallons of water. With this I can hookup a hose and run it off somewhere else. I should note that with the hose it does not drain nearly as fast. Still drains plenty fast without the hose.

I think I started off with a 1 1/4" slip fitting, then a piece of 1" pipe, then a 1" fip, then a brass pipe thread by hose thread.

Thanks for sharing that. I drained mine yesterday and didn't want to dump all that water where the trailer lives so I brought a couple of blocks and some metal roof to make a race to carry the water away so it could run downhill. I thought there has to be a better way.

I found some good cutoffs in my pvc bin that will work. All I need to do is connect a 1¼" pipe to a ¾" pipe and use a ¾" npt male hose bibb. I have to go to town tomorrow so I'll get the bushings I need.

It drips a little but the tank drains though that skinny 25" metal hose at about ¾ GPM. It's basically scraps from working on our water wells. The piece with the barcode is what I brought home today.

Hello,
This is what I came up with.
Form Lowes Stainless steel threaded rod and wing nuts, to remove plastic piece easily.
From Walmart sewer elbow kit (used for repairs).
I just drilled a hole larger than rod, Slide in add wingnuts if you like, attach new clean sewer hose and divert fresh water or dump it.
