50 amp service and battery isn’t charging…

Darker photo is screenshot from last night. Lighter from this morning after first daylight.

Everything functions as expected. All AC power outlets work fine. Tv, air conditioners x2.

All usb outlets work, all lights, slide and awning work fine. But… battery voltage dumps after dark.
Fuses and breaker panel appear fine. Already Reset the charge controller breaker, any other ideas before I surrender it to giant rv?

Last trip out we did notice that the controller breaker had tripped after we tripped the kitchen gfci breaker. Reset both and everything seemed to spring back to life.

I had a similar thing happen on my Avenue. Turned out that there are a couple of blade fuses that were blown. These fuses are there to protect everything in case the batteries happen to get connected backwards - which the dealer had done. The converter will run all the 12 volt stuff, but the battery will not be charged.

Only time I had this happen was when my converter breaker was tripped. Converter needs to be working to convert the AC power to DC to charge the batteries. I''d think it's some sort of issue with the converter or wiring related to the converter.

What is running after the sun goes down? The images you provided show no incoming power, as this is the solar controller reading, not a converter reading.

How many batteries doe you have? AGM? Flooded? Lithium? How old are the batteries? Do you have an inverter?

Hi folks, not sure I can comment accurately based on your summary.
I will offer a couple of comments.
1. I am not convinced you have an issue
2. A fully charged 12v battery should have a voltage reading of about 12.6 volts.
3. As others have said, solar input would stop at night and the converter would be fully responsible for charging at that point.
4. The converter has a variable charge rate , so the output rate would be a variable
5. 12V demand at night(lights, frig etc) could be absorbing some of that charge output making your app voltage appear low.
6. The battery capacity of the Renogy app isn’t accurate, so if you are concerned about the 70 % reading, I wouldn’t be as your voltage is showing 12.6v. Without a shunt, the apps just uses the voltage reading to generalize the state of charge value.
7. My app capacity value usually indicates 70 overnight as well.
8. Converter and your app have setting that need to be programmed for battery type.
9. As others have said, it is possible to have a blown fuse or wiring issue.
10. Voltage testing with the solar charge lines unhooked, and shore power plugged in would tell you if the converter is outputting a healthy voltage at your battery.
