If it is a BAL slide the motors are inside behind the trim strips at the top.382RK 2024; where is the motor for the cable slide in bedroom; not closing evenly left partially open.
not sure of the model; motors move the bed until it is out line, then motor spins and sounds like it disengages. Cables are all tightIf it is a BAL slide the motors are inside behind the trim strips at the top.
If you can find the controller, normally mounted in the pass thru below the slide on the ceiling.
It should have two buttons on it, assuming it is the most current. You can check motor operation by pressing each button.
It would be wise to check cable adjustments as well
Check the ceiling of your basement pass thru and see if you can locate the controller. It will look like the picture I attached if it is a BAL slide. Locate the very small buttons one at each end of the terminal strips. Press the button one at a time to see which one might straighten the slide out.not sure of the model; motors move the bed until it is out line, then motor spins and sounds like it disengages. This is my switches in pass through did not see the type of controller you sent, thanks for your help Bryan.Check the ceiling of your basement pass thru and see if you can locate the controller. Try to get it all the way in, using the buttons on the controller if necessary. Recheck both cables, bottoms ones should only deflect about. 1/4 inch in the middle and the top one about a1/2 inch.
If adjustment are good, you need to cycle the slide in and out 3 times to resync the motors. This of course assumes nothing else is wrong and there are no obstruction impacting the slide travel.
BAL also provides excellent customer support via email. They also have numerous videos explaining the operation and adjustment on you tube.( Don’t ask me how I know 😂) Just got done replacing a bad controller when our slide wouldn’t do anything.
Try heading over to your Nautilus Panel(water connections) and look directly above and behind the white panel, mounted to the ceiling of that compartment. This is my switches in pass through did not see the type of controller you sent, thanks for your help Bryan.
Well, I see this as a good news bad news situation. The good news is you now know where your controller is and how to manually operate the individual slide motors. The bad news is the motor runs on one side but no movement takes place. I would think that this indicates that the motor to the gear joint(maybe a roll pin) has sheared off and while the motor operates that rotation doesn’t transfer to the gear to drive the chain and cable assembly.Bryan you were right it is up where you told me to look ,found the black switches. Trying to sync. The red button at the front will move the front side out. rear red button just starts motor running not moving the slide at all.
You are right about bad news that motor is in a hard place to work on thanks for the help. Any tips on getting to motor let me know.Well, I see this as a good news bad news situation. Not sure of your warranty status, but if you are under warranty, you should contact Alliance and get a claim opened and request a mobile tech to come out and evaluate things.
If not under warranty, you should contact a mobile tech or schedule a trip back to a dealership to have things evaluated.
I was hoping for a much simpler s, olution.
From what I have seen, the trim will need to be removed, and then a metal cover plate and the entire mounting bracket on the side that is bad. Or at least the cover plate to reevaluate the issue before any additional disassembly. You are right about bad news that motor is in a hard place to work on thanks for the help. Head to the Bal Rv website and you tube for videos that have step by step instructions.
