I am curious why the 37V13 was discontinued from the Valor production. We purchased this unit a few months ago in Phoenix for a little under $70K (2022 year model). Pretty clean and it appeared the prior owner was living in it. What got me excited about this unit was that it had the full solar package plus the Onan 5500 generator. Have not seen this set up in any of the other 2 axle Valor units. Mega dry camping unit. The unit also had the GenY goose neck hitch. I therefore did not need to go out and spend $1,500 to $2,000 grand on a 5th wheel set up. Very please how the 1 ton dually Ram pulls this trailer.
The negatives. The Everchill fridge was having problems a week into usage. Discovered a propane leak and trying to discover where it might be coming from. I believe I read something about a quick connect recall. In the shop being both looked into.
However, the big negative for me was cargo weight. I believe I have 3,100 pounds to play with and I know that does not include full propane tanks and anything you might be carrying on board (chairs, tables, grill, septic, kitchen, etc.). I don't know if the dry weight includes the patio steps, ladder, Onan 5500, solar inverter / 3 lithium batteries, panels, etc.
In order to register my vehicle, our lovely county insisted i get the unit weighed. Took it to Cat Scales this morning (empty tanks / no grilling equipment / no sewer container with hoses, etc). No personal items (clothes, shoes, bathroom, etc). WOW a Whopping 15,320 lbs. I have an added 1,400 lbs on this trailer with minimal luggage. That leaves me about 1,700 lbs to play with. That eliminates most side by sides (single seaters). I would have never thought this massive unit would have an issue howling a typical side by side at a minimal weight of 1,700 lbs to 2,100 lbs with doors. I was planning on getting side by side with doors. That's not going to happen. Not even a strip down unit with no accessories is going to happen.
I will get the unit weighed again and see if something went wrong. I sure hope so. However, my gut tells me the payload issue might have been a problem and therefore Alliance stop production on the 37V13.
Sorry for the ramble..............I am just scratching my head on this one.
