310RL bedroom slide leak

Our bedroom slide leaks on the rear side of the slide. Water drips out of the bottom of the vertical frame. It has leaked since new. I have tried every thing I can think of to isolate where the water might be coming in at but no joy. I used an endoscope to look inside the seal area, poured water over different areas, applied silicone at various likely locations with no effect.

I can’t find any obvious leak path.

Anyone else have an issue like this?

Cheers

Good mornino Creek,,,,have you checked your exterior windw weep holes for blockage? We live near trees,,,Doug firs,,,western red cedar,,,alder, etc. & find needles ,,spiders,, bugs,,,,sometimes build up enough to block the exterior weep holes,,,,we Use a small compressor to blow low pressure air to clean the weeps out & a nut pick to remove the debris from the tracks,,,good luck 👍🍀

Ours leaked in same place awhile back and only thing I could see was ski track side rail? I found where there was no caulking on end so caulked it there. Also had leak above door at same time and found it to be the exterior light above door. There was hardly any caulk on it.

Creek,
We had a slide doing the same thing and had corrected at the Rally. It was just along the top edge of the slide ski area on the outbound end. Revealed along the too edge and end and a little on a screw head and hasn't leaked since. Would not have believed it if I had not watched/seen it myself.

It’s been parked for the last month it finally got out there today and had a stickybeak. I can see where the tech repair guy put some silicone on the seal along the wall (not on slide seal) for about 6 inches, this reduced the leak, so I ran a new bead all along the entire length of the seal. Supposed to rain tomorrow so hopefully will see if it helped.

Not sure what you mean by slide ski area?

Not a very good picture, but it shows where I had to put the pan to catch the water.

When the slide is extended, the area at bottom of the slide box that goes in and out has a plastic piece that wraps around the corner of the box. This is the slide ski and where it lays against the slide box at the vertical portion there is a bead of sealant that runs from inside to outside and around the end of it. That is where the water was entering and running inside the ski and out onto the floor. Exactly where yours is leaking.

It might take a little effort on sealing, but a smoke machine, smoke candle, etc., like we use on our vehicles, might help find the source of the leak. The furnace would probably produce enough pressure. The under step vents, I think, would have to be sealed.

Ahh now I understand. I did check that out early in the game resealed quite a bit of it. It still leaked.

After yesterday’s attempt at resealing, it rained a fair amount today. I drove to the camper and checked out the pan I use to catch the leak. Bone dry so fingers crossed.
