So looking at a Splendide Combo washer/dryer - vented. Anyone have one or installed one? Looking for pics of installation. Thanks.

I would get separate washer dryer or just use laundry mat.

That Splendide Washer/Dryer unit takes forever to wash a small amount of close and even longer to dry them. When they are finally dry they are such a wrinkled mess! Not trying to rain on the parade, I just was very unhappy with mine?

Just a reminder not to forget about factoring in the weight impact to your tow vehicle. You will be adding a significant amount of weight. Likely 150 pounds.(+-)

We have the Splendide setup in our 2025 310RL. We are not full timers and many people tried to talk us out of having them installed and my wife was almost convinced to not get them. I held my ground, had them installed at the dealer. HAVE ZERO REGRETS. My wife loves them. True, they do not handle a lot in one load, but we are not in a hurry, we're on vacation. On our last trip, it was 14 days in length, we probably did a half dozen loads of laundry. We didn't have to carry as many clothes and we didn't have to find a laundromat. We stay at state parks, no laundromats. Yes, they take up a bit of space, but for us, we are so thankful that we have them. In fact, since we got our RV last October, our washing machine in the house has gone out twice and each time it was down for a week while the parts were on order. No problem, we just used the washer in the RV.

We have the factory installed Splendide set in our 2024 310RL as well. I agree with your comments and have no regrets as well. While ours don’t get used a lot, they are certainly convient to have onboard when you do need them.
Yes, they do have their drawbacks, weight and lost space in the closet. but choices that suit your wants/needs are what make the world go round.

We have the Splendide set up installed at the factory in our 24 385FL. Wife really loves them especially on the long trips.

would these fit in a 2024 32 RLS Avenue? been thinking about getting the washer and dryer. and yes, losing a little bit of closet space. we are full-time and make plenty of trips to the laundromat and it does get expensive and old. any thoughts? what brand, what model number, etc. thanks for everyone's help

I have pasted the website link below. It has pretty good information on sizing etc.

Two things I'd change if I could regarding our washer/dryer set up.
1. It would be great to have them stacked for easier access.
2. Since they are not stacked, have the doors open from the front to the back. See if I can explain that. Currently, the doors are hinged so that you have to open the doors and pull them to you and you are basically loading around the door. If you could open the door and swing it away from you, you'd be loading in front of the door. The clothes are hanging as such that they are in the way of opening the doors. If hinged in reverse, it would make like much easier, but still, I'll deal with them as they are vs not having them at all.

I checked, you can't reverse the doors. bummer
We decided to go forward with the Splindide Combo W/D, vented. I decided to install myself (we have the 319RL). Installation complete. I had to extend the water hook ups upward to have access to turn faucets on/off. The hole for the exhaust was scary to drill (hole saw) but was successful.

We’ve test used it at home, worked great. Tomorrow we leave for 8 week trip to NW US and Canada. That will be the real test!!! See pics.

Nice install. I bet drilling that hole and the side was terrifying. I'm so afraid that I'm going to hit one of the aluminum internal beams if I'm drilling a hole like that going to see if I can get a blueprint and measurements to see where the best place would be for that hole to be put and the dryer vent installed

Ways to avoid hitting stud.
1. Stud finder
2. Look at RV on a cool morning you can see the studs
3. Drill from inside first if you hit stud only the paneling is damaged.
However you can then ensure that your path is clear to the outside and drill the final hole from the outside based on the inside hole.

Just saw the thread, and we have the vented unit in our 340RL. Love it. Installed myself - yeah, cutting hole that large in side of camper a little scary, but hey. In fact, wife likes it so much we purchased a similar, larger unit for our upcoming apartment. Kinda handy to be able to throw a load in, and have it dry when you return. And Splendide was pretty responsive to questions, at least until just recently.

We’re still debating between the vented combo unit and separate machines. For those using the vented combo, does it take a long time to complete each load? I would really like to keep the space on the right.
