29rl questions on hitch weight

Hi, looking at this model pretty hard and I am curious what the actual hitch weight is on this unit. I have seen the published weights from Alliance but as we all know this number tends to vary. I understand this number may vary based on how the trailer is loaded but just looking for some real world numbers from those in the know. We are new to fifth wheels and I currently have an 05 GMC 2500hd crew cab duramax and intend to pull with it for now. This truck shows a 2526 lbs payload on the door sticker so I am thinking I will be right up against that number pretty quickly. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi folks, welcome to the forum. While I can’t comment on the specifics of your model, I can offer that if you make a phone call to Alliance with the VIN, they will likely be able to provide you with an as built tounge weight.
They provided our actual number at the end of the line, we speced with factory installed washer/dryer and Onan Genset which added significantly to the tounge weight. It certainly would be worth a couple of minutes of your time.
April Clark and Scout kept us informed every step of the way as our unit made its way down the line with daily pictures of the progress.
Can’t speak highly enough about the communication we received from both of them!
We even sent April @April Clark flowers as a thank you for her efforts taking pictures as our unit progressed down the line.

Empty hitch between 1488 - 1550 that's my guess as my 29rl has a empty hitch weight of 1488

Bryan, How does that work with a factory order, do they notify you when they start to build, or do they contact the dealer? And once they start building, is what you described a normal interaction between you and Alliance. Mark

Hi Mark, in our case I had called Alliance directly (pre order) and was placed in contact with April Clark from the sales department. We were ordering during the model year change over(23 to 24) and wanted to ask some question around specific changes over the 23’s that we had visited in person. April was kind enough to have the conversation and provided visibility to the 24 order sheet with MSRP on the available options. She also indicated that they were now factory installing washers and dryers when requested(dealers were not aware of this at that time).
Once we finalized the order thru General Rv,I requested copies of all of the paperwork, including a copy of their PO to Alliance specific to our order. The PO acknowledgement from Alliance had an “Online Date” listed, as they jump retail orders to the front of the line over stock orders.
When I saw this date, I just called April again on that day and asked her if that date was accurate. She confirmed that it was and provided pictures of our chassis with the floor and island already installed. I simply asked if it was possible to get daily pictures as it progressed down the line and she honored that request. Scout (product manager) also responded to several emails during the build process. They both were very responsive and professional.
