262RB Mods

Here are some mods I did to my 2026 Delta 262RB over the past six months.

In the bedroom, I installed two shelves with matching paint in the wardrobe cabinets and raised the headboard 6" so I could get our pillows up against the wall and not lose an inch and a half of mattress from the headboard. In the bathroom, I installed a larger fan as well as a remote control with a wall switch. It works great with the vent cover I also installed. And I installed a soap/sponge tray at the pull out trash bin.

Outside, I added an extension to the sewer hose carrier so it's now accessible without having to get under the RV to retrieve the hose. The extension tube I used came from an old leaf blower vac attachment that mated perfectly to the existing tube. And I added strapping and rivets to hold it all together. I installed a Furrion camera bracket with an Amtifo backup camera. And I installed a central awning support for the slightly bowing 21' awning. It's negligent for Alliance to install such a long awning with no support. In the front compartment, I installed foam mats so my bins won't slide around.

I did a lot of work at the wet bay to make it easier to access and maintain. I attached the aluminum trim rails to the panel and I used hanger bolts with quick access knobs to make removal of the panel much easier. And I brought the sat connections to the panel front so attaching the wires would be quick and trouble-free. And finally, I installed the TPMS repeater on the panel.

Maybe these mods will give forum members other/better ideas to improve their RVs. Cheers.

Good work.
I think owning an RV is as much a hobby to improve it (and to fix it unfortunately 😜) as it is a hobby using it.
I agree George Once upon a time I was that guy who did lots of mods. Now I'm still completing mods but now I'm more concerned with using it versus improving it.
It's funny how things have evolved Once upon a time I put a lot of effort into satellite TV and CATV connections etc.
Now I just stream everything I no longer connect cable or satellite at all. Internet is just with me at all times like magic.
I have a couple of different cooking contraptions grills gridles fryers, I seldom get them out. I am more likely to ride my E-bike into town and find an interesting place to eat. I used to set up lots of stuff outside Now all I need is a camping chair and firewood.

Over the years I have become a bit jilted by the quality control in RV's these days. The current thread concerning the cracked frame It is one of the reasons I'm a bit less motivated to modify my RV due to the fear the whole thing is just going to fall apart one day with all my mods! o_O
So in the meantime my mantra is to just use it as much as possible and enjoy it, Modifying has become less of a priority.:)

Great discussion George and Lantley. This is my first rig and I am quickly getting there. I love to bulk cook and feed large groups. I am 60 now and come from the backpacking world.....to now Glamping. Three years in, I find myself simplifying everything! Although I have always upsized everything I do.....I have run out of BIG things to do and cooking is starting to get closer to the chopping block. I drag a camp chef 90 around and now thinking about a toaster and Costco (I originally typed Price Club) sized boxes of Pop-Tarts...LOL! I am currently in negotiations with my better half, regarding a smaller RV....stay tuned....

Amen, I am right there with you. Seems that I spend as many days fixing as I do using right now.

Exactly Bozo, These days most of my mod energy Has been redirected to just maintenance and keeping the RV in working order.
I monitor my improvement effort to be sure that my RV use time far exceeds my maintenance and repair time.
When and if all I'm doing is working on the RV and not actually using it then I'm doing something wrong.
The object of the game is to use the RV constantly vs. constantly working on it.;)
