23ML Installing Bedroom Reading Lamps

I am planning to add reading lamps to the cabinet over the bed. Has anyone added lamps and tapped into the flat surface light already on the cabinet surface? I want to understand how to remove the surface lamps without damaging them to tap into the power wires.

Watching intently...I'd love to do the same in the 30BH, if it's relatively easy?

They're bright aren't they? You just pull them straight down and they come out so you can access wiring. We left them in place but added puck lights for reading. Works great but have to change the batteries every couple of weeks.

Thanks for the guidance, I’ll checkout the pull down process shortly. I found a nice 12v reading lamp which has a dimmer function and a blue night light function on Amazon. I’ll post pictures and some info on the installation once completed.

As it turns out, the lamps in our trailer have the twist off bezel. They are pretty tight but with a bit of effort they do come off with any tools. We have a short trip coming up in a couple weeks during which I plan to install the new reading lamps. I’ll send pictures afterwards.

FYI,,,,as noted above, they probably require a 1/4 turn clockwise or counterclockwise to “unlock” the lens,,,,still real easy,,,have not experienced any that will pull straight down,,,but this is our first 5er too,,,good luck, safe travels,,& enjoy! 🙏🌞🍀!

Kathy and I installed our LED reading lamp today. It turned out to be fairly easy install. Started by removing the factory LED lamps, a twist of the bezel and the bezel came right off. We wanted to place the new lamps in the corners which worked out great. The bottom of the cabinet is an open space. The factory wiring had some slack which allowed the wires to be pulled through the factory holes. They factory used Wago connectors but they had no spa slots. So, we purchased 5 slotter from Lowe’s and after adding the new lamps we have a spare slot. I did enlarge the factory holes to pull the Wago connectors out to be replaced. Check out the pics for some of the install process. Adding pictures shortlyIMG_4521.jpegIMG_4524.jpegIMG_4516.jpegIMG_4519.jpegIMG_4530.jpg
