2025 RK234 - Dirt Sucked into Trailer

Hi!
We took our new trailer on a gravel road for the first time. When we got to our destination, it was full of dirt/dust. Heaviest surrounding the slide, both doors and the bedroom floor where it intersects the wall.
Any ideas of what we should do or what we did wrong. Thx

Slides should seal in retracted position. Check the slide bulb seal engagement when all the way retracted, it may need adjusting to engage all around the slide box. Check for damage on the bottom flap seal as well when it is extended (so you can see). The staples they use to attach to seal can pull out affecting the alignment and function of the bottom seal.

I had that happen once. I thought I'd be smart and leave a roof vent open to keep it cooler. The Maxxair cover over it acted like a venturi and sucked in dust and black soot. I couldn't find any gaps but it'd only take a small one. I now leave the vents closed and it has not happened again.

Hi George. The windows, vents were all closed. Was thinking we missed something with this trailer. We have never had this issue with our other trailers. We just purchased the trailer in November and this was our first time with it on gravel.

I bet it’s coming in under bottom. It can get in on a dusty road from where slide lifts up to come inside.

go under your slide when closed and make sure the rubber flaps under the bottom edge are not tucked wrong or pinched.
