2024 Paradigm FL 385 black tank vent cap location on roof

2024 FL 385 (front black tank ) can anyone tell where this tank is vented on roof. I want to hook up a RV Sewer Toilet Vent Cap to get rid of the sewer gas from the 1/2 bathroom toilet that is in the middle of the trailer when you enter into the RV. When it is 1/2 to 2/3's full you sometime get a an unpleasant sewer smell when flushing.
There are 2 white vented tank caps and a third black vented tank cap next to the 2 white vents. Does anybody know which vent is the black tank used for the toilets? We have 2 gray tans a the #1 black tank in operation. (No washer or dishwasher hooked up). Is there a diagram or blue print of venting for this trailer.

While you’re investigating, you may want to lift each vent cap and verify the vent pipe extends up into the actual vent cap base. There were several owners reporting short pipes that allowed tank odors in to the attic space (including our 2021 385FL, but it was confirmed on several models). I’d be very interested to know if the manufacturing shortcoming has been addressed.

I was under the assumption that the black cap is the wire chase going down to the basement.

Thank you. I have not had a chance to pull off the caps to make sure it extends to the cap yet. I will get up there later today and check it out. I attached a picture with the green tape measure in front of the vent i believe i heard running with the flushing. Unfortunately, there where landscaper blowers running a few properties away which made it difficult to hear more clearly.20240731_091536_385 FL VENTS.jpg

Good thing i was up there, i noticed both of my Maxxair fan covers are cracking on the outside cover. It looks like when they retract there being pulled to tight at the plastic bracket connection from to much pressure and creating a inward dent and cracking open. Only used them about 10 times since last October. Don't know if anybody else has come across this issue.

Interesting, this is a photo of our vents - 2021 385FL. My angle was different than yours, but the antenna and powder room exhaust vent are pretty much in the same locations. All three caps were removed, the pipes were extended, and Lippert 360 siphon vent caps installed by me.

I replaced the one cap (where the green tape measure was) with the Lippert 360 Siphon RV Roof Vent Cap. The vent pipe was not short so there was no issue with odors going into the attic space. Do you know which cap was to what vent/tank and if any of the caps were access to the basement for running lines? I am under the assumption the black cap would be the access to run lines to the basement of the RV?

I don’t know, but as you see, our original black vent caps are not in the same relative locations. If my black cap signified the location of the wire run, it would be inside the powder room wall where the fan/light switches are, which is clearly the “low point” of the frame. The only access would require removal of the underbelly, somewhere near the location of the 3 waste tanks.

On your picture, your black cap is on the opposite powder room wall, and theoretically could be seen from the front of the big rear basement storage area.

I need to reach out to Alliance for warranty issues for my MaxxAir cover cracks. I will ask them since i prefer not to open my underbelly since we get a fair amount of mice since I'm on a wooded lot nor if i don't need to do extra hunting by opening storage areas. Hopefully tech support should know this info.

I received this schematic today from Alliance on my vents. all 3 are vents to black and the 2 grey tanks. None of them are for the wire chase. Hope this helps you.

That’s great - thanks for sharing. I didn’t know the powder room went into the rear bath grey tank. It’s also good to see the kitchen tank will wash out the whole drain system, that’s the tank I keep closed for that purpose. Of course now that I see the layout I want to rearrange my dump handles to match.

Neither did I. Just assumed it ran to the kitchen sink tank because of proximity. I always drained my shower tank last being it was the cleanest/soapiest water. i have on my panel 2 black tank indicators but only 1 black tank functioning. I'm curios if there is an extra physical tank in the underbelly.
